Primary Coverage: Which Network Isn't Freeped? |
|
When I go home tonight and pour myself a glass (or 10) of wine, what network am I supposed to watch? Tucker Carlson's CNN? Peggy Noonan's MSNBC? Tom "I hate Clark" Brokaw's NBC?
Seriously, :wtf: network am I supposed to watch for semi-balanced journalism?

12. Nobody said it was fair. |
|
This whole primary process is flawed in my opinion. Why NH and now Iowa has so much importance seems to lend itself to dirty tricks being performed by campaigns and the media to gain that precious early momentum. Any ideas for how to change it for the better?

The network that isn't freeped is CBS...in 1976. Ever since then, it's been staright GOP propaganda, 24/7/52 x all those channels

16. I need to leave, should I tape CSPAN? |
|
Work related absence for about 3 hours, just as the polls close. MSNBC is an automatic reject (Noonan) and I'd prefer to avoid CNN.
But is CSPAN going to cover the results for several hours, plus analysis? I really want to tape the as-it-happened, not catch up via canned stuff in the wee hours.

8. Make that 10 glasses of wine and |
|
just read the factual results when you wake up.
There is NO balanced journalism, IMO; because, no matter how the candidates place, every network (including the BBC) will be explaining why...and they are talking out their asses!

...isn't that Matthews gives time to Noonan.
The problem is he doesn't give equal time to a progressive counterpoint.
I don't mind these rightwing nutjobs spewing their bile. I just resent the absence of an opposing viewpoint. Without that, you have no dialogue.

14. Well, so far the CBS evening news has been pretty good. |
|
But I don't know if they'll be covering the primary in NH.
CBS mentioned how Cheney has recently referred to the the "mobile biological weapons labs" in speeches, and then mentioned that David Kay has stated that they were for weather balloons or at worst, rocket fuel. Next time, I hope they just call Cheney a liar.
