Cher was just on phone w/Anderson Cooper..."I did not need a tax cut"
NONE of these uber wealthy people needed a friggin' tax cut.
This is the time folks, for people like you to speak out.
The lower and middle class cannot handle singlehandedly help these people.
It is time to repeal the tax cuts and put it to use helping people to rebuild.

1. We need more Chers and Anderson Coopers having these conversations
on television. Lots more.

3. Cher wants to do whatever she can to help..
She told Anderson to keep reporting it "like it is" because people need to know - and see for themselves - what happened.

Kudos to both of them on a good interview :)

7. I kind of wonder if this experience has transformed Anderson
Cooper into a real reporter. I hope so. It would be nice to see a real reporter again I certainly miss Mr. Cronkite.

8. she was terrific..

She spoke to Cooper after speaking to the couple.
When she said " I didn't need my taxes cut" it was with an almost child-like observation of a fact people know but want to ignore.

She called to say she would pick up the bill for meals being cooked for the rescuers by a couple who had taken vacation and gone down to LA to help out by setting up a feeding station where the rescuers could get at least one hot meal. They jumped from feeding a few hundred people a day to several thousand. She spoke to the couple before she spoke to Cooper.

12. The small gub-mint folks would argue...
The small gub-mint folks would argue that Cher was fully capable of donating any amount of her tax cut back to the treasury.

And that is nothing more than a vicious circle. It's a non-starter.
