It won't be long before Katrina takes more blame than Bill Clinton |
|
Take gas prices for example. According to all the bigmouths on TV, the high prices are beause of Katrina. HUH??? If my memory is correct, gas prices had already reached obscene numbers BEFORE the hurricane hit, only to get even higher right afterward. I think prices had soared to something like $2.65/gallon in my area before Katrina.
Next they'll be saying that the economy was on fire before the hurricane hit, there were no homeless or poor people before Katrina, and dogs loved cats prior to the storm!! I fully expect by next month that Katrina will be held responsible for the Greenhouse Effect.
Katrina will continue to be blamed, but the real culprit is George Bush, his criminal regime, and his disgusting Iraq War, which has quietly taken a back seat due to the catastrophe. I blame Katrina and Bush for causing the deaths of so many innocent people, but Bush deserves the SOLE blame in everything else that's gone wrong with this country.
If you thought this bastard politicized 9/11 to his advantage, wait until you see him take advantage of Katrina.

2. I think you're exactly right, sadly. I'm already hearing how Katrina... |
|
... slowed the booming economy. When in fact, the few positive economic indicators out there were as cherry-picked and divorced from real context as any statistic ever uttered.
And watch the Bush-bots all fall in line. Watch the Republicans fall right back into excuse-making mode. Because just about all of them lack the character to admit what is so plain to see by any objective measure: the Bush years have been one long disaster for this country.

I can't imagine any non-Fox station would air such tripe.
