In high school we were told that the American Eagle faced towards peace -- and away from the arrows. They did not go into detail about what it would do to the country if that eagle were somehow made to face the arrows. I would suggest that such a flipping could involve a temporal shift in the 'be' verb -- as well as various other tricks such as hyperbaton, missing or confusing articles (ie. some, many, all, none, few), and other intentional manipulations of the language (word/uni-verse) itself.
Bush is a gambling man, and he gambled US. And we should show our appreciation as appropriate -- in a lawful and demanding sort of way. Americans have died because of that dæmon deofol.

2. As I am sure a few Japanese Americans still remember |

...and now the Creoles will have nightmares they'll likely never forget. In my opinion, the ethical is all-too-easily suspended by those people in the WH. The cronyism is simply abhorrent.
Mayor Re-neger (sic)? That was simply uncalled for, in my opinion.

But please permit me to make an analogy. If my name were David Blaine and I performed illusion and allusion to create my effect, would I not be held responsible if large swaths of people died?

7. Ok...what is your analogy? |

I wasn't trying to mock you. I had heard this myth and, up until a year ago, thought it was real.

8. It is as real as the old/young lady illusion |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-12-05 03:54 AM by aion
I think many people are familiar with that. Proving that you see the old lady is as easy (yet equally difficult) as proving that you see the young lady. It's an infinite regress, as I was taught to call it.
I am aware of what Bush has done. And if he or Rove would like to prove to a jury that up=down, I would certainly enjoy that show. I suppose we will all need to wait until he is off the throne first.
My life is an open book -- literally. And were it only for the ambiguous evidence, I would have tried to believe their stories.
