September '77
Port Elizabeth weather fine
It was business as usual
In police room 619
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Yihla Moja, Yihla Moja
-The man is dead

When I try to sleep at night
I can only dream in red
The outside world is black and white
With only one colour dead
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Yihla Moja, Yihla Moja
-The man is dead

You can blow out a candle
But you can't blow out a fire
Once the flames begin to catch
The wind will blow it higher
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Yihla Moja, Yihla Moja
-The man is dead

And the eyes of the world are
watching now
watching now

1. What a great song, for a great man.
Recently watched Cry Freedom, and it's still worth seeing for those who missed it.

4. Amazing what the life (or death) of one man can have on a country
isn't it?

7. Yeah...
or, as in our case, how the deaths of thousands can have no effect on a government.

10. Dang, gonna have to toss that album onto the 'table
when I get home...haven't spun any of my Peter Gabriel records in a while. Great artist, and a far better human being than the thugs in the * admin.

13. You know, this guy Roberts, the Chief Justice nominee,
he never spoke out against Aparthied. I think he tried to marginalize people who did. That's how it seems to me.
