1. Froomkin seems to be one of the good guys |
|
I read his online discussion every week, and he's never been shy on criticizing the WH press corps. (He's not actually in the WH; he just reports on the reporters.)

5. Froomkin in print can be just as bad as other mediawhores, but gets more |
|
real in his ONLINE articles. I believe WP allows online articles to speak more truth because, as long as it isn't in print, it can't hurt their precious fascist regime much.

Since I never read this column in print, I wouldn't realize the difference.
Thanks for enlightening me!

2. Judging by the number of anti-bush articles, even in conservative |
|
newspapers, the press is really tired of being shut out. Hope it keeps up.

3. When a Capitolhillblue reporter said as much... |
|
many DUers questioned his motives and veracity. OK, so this was only one guy posting several articles on the same topic over the course of several monmths, but apperently his sources were right. 10. Bush lost is no excuse |
|
One of the RW favorite memes is personal responsibility for our own economic future, our health, our souls, etc. Bush backs this hardline bull when it comes to all of us. When it applies to him getting his own damned info about the country he's supposed to be running all he can say is he wasn't given enough or not given the right info. BAH !!
Besides, if this is really happening, somebody in the WH isn't doing their job by allowing him to continue this way. 260 million Americans depend on it.

4. Saddam's aides were telling him |
|
he was winning the war with Iran. Same story, when a leader refuses to hear the bad news. From the article:
"It's a standing joke among the president's top aides: who gets to deliver the bad news? Warm and hearty in public, Bush can be cold and snappish in private, and aides sometimes cringe before the displeasure of the president of the United States," Thomas writes.
In this sort of environment, Bush apparently didn't fathom the extent of the catastrophe in the Gulf Coast for more than three days after the levees of New Orleans were breached. (...) Among Thomas's disclosures: "Bush can be petulant about dissent; he equates disagreement with disloyalty. After five years in office, he is surrounded largely by people who agree with him. . . .

11. Looks like the "machine" looked around for a few days, couldn't |
|
find a scapegoat who wasn't a victim or that would play - so now "Bush is dumb".
The sociopathic organ has found their pet goat.
