Stephanie Miller this AM: Explosives found at a NO levy!!!! |
|
Did anyone hear this as well. Apparently a military diver recognized the material and snuck some out to get it analyzed. It was explosives at the base of a levy!
I have searched all over the web for anything about this. Plus sent an e-mail to the show to see if they can help substantiate this.
If this is true! Holy SHIT!

Many NO residents believe this was the reason for the levee's breaking.

6. The way I heard it was that they supposedly dynamited a hole |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-12-05 03:53 PM by Totally Committed
in the concrete wall part of the levy to allow the poorer parts of the city to flood, while the nicer homes and the businesses were saved far more, and this also gave the people with cars (read: not poor, not Black) more time to evacuate than if the levy had broken on the earthen part of the levy.
So, basically, they victimized the poor (read: Black) people by sacrificing them and their homes for the homes and businesses of the more affluent.
In light of the days-long lack of response, and the murders and the deaths and the crimes committed, and knowing that dynamiting is pretty intentional, one is left wondering what they hoped would happen to these people.
Seems to me, if you are going to intentioanlly flood a part of town to save another, you'd get as many people as you could out BEFORE you blow the levy... am I right?
Anyone got a link confirming this? I've only heard it spoken about.

Thanks, but I guess everyone says it was debunked.
I guess, I am quick to mis-judge the powers that be.
I wonder why?
Cheers!

you don't believe the Administration would engage in something that would allow them to rebuild New Orleans?
Just like they were up front and told us the truth about lying us into using billions of dollars of our own money used to invade Iraq so they could "rebuild Iraq"?
Just like he said no one could have predicted jets would fly into the World Trade Center towers.
How many points should to add?
You are willing to believe Bush, over a mere investigation, not a guilty verdict,
but an investigation of what could have potentially been blasts that allowed the levee to break.

the Army Corp of Engineers blew some levees to allow drainage IIRC. This is an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory.
