Get out the crying towel: Rove was hospitalized for kidney stones
Edited on Mon Sep-12-05 04:05 PM by sunnystarr

Allen also has this tidbit: "And as if the West Wing were suddenly snakebit, his franchise player, senior adviser and deputy chief of staff, Karl Rove, was on the disabled list for part of last week, working from home after being briefly hospitalized with painful kidney stones."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/linkset/2005/04/11/LI2005041100879.html
It's under "Read All About It"

I know I'm going straight to hell cause when I read this I laughed and didn't have even one little twinge of sympathy.

All I could think about is "the Lord works in mysterious ways" which I know has no logic but for once I really wanted to believe it.

I thought of those little kidney stones working their way down those 6 to 7 inches and the excruciating pain they benevolently presented with each nanosecond.

I thought how I couldn't think of anyone more deserving. I pictured the sweating, pain riddled, puffy red face contorted with anguish decrying the karmic justice he earned.

Then I held on to that image and smiled.

Power doesn't buy everything.

Message to Karl:

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." (Galatians 6:7 KJV)

Here are a few more in case you don't have your Bible next to you Karl:

"Judge not, that ye be not judged." (Matthew 7:1 KJV)

"For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the
whirlwind:" (Hosea 8: 7a KJV)

" . . . He which soweth sparingly shall reap also
sparingly; and he which soweth bountifiully shall
reap also bountifully." (2 Corinthians 9:6 KJV)

" . . they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness,
reap the same." (Job 4:8 KJV)

"He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he
that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword."
(Revelation 13:10a,b KJV)

"Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his
place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with
the sword." (Matthew 26:52 KJV)

"Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow
wickedness, reap the same." (Job 4:8 KJV)

"Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break
up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD,
till he come and rain righteousness upon you."
(Hosea 10:12 KJV)

Now Karl, doesn't all this talk of sowing and reaping make you picture SEEDS? Damn those seeds can be painful when you're trying to pee them out.

3. There was no hand inside the puppet head!!
If Karl was sick, maybe that explains why Bush has been even more bumbling than usual -- plus Cheney was stashed away someplace too...

And I can't think of a better person to get them.

(Well, maybe I can. But Rove would be towards the top of the list.)

15. "little kidney stones working their way down those 6 to 7 inches"
6 to 7 inches?

Come on.

Karl compensates far too much for a person with those measurements. Then again, maybe for him it's a "girth issue."

Nice post, by the by. I'd been meaning to look up a few of those passages (my Bible education classes are a few years back for me). I've been arguing with waaaaaay too many Biblical "scholars" lately, and it's been giving me a headache trying to remember those citations word for word.

(Guess I have a congenital tendency for them.)

They are excrusiatingly painful. They won't kill you; you'll only wish you were dead.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. I am overjoyed to know that he suffered. If only he could experience the pain that the whole rest of the world is experiencing because of him and Bush.
:woohoo:

25. Kidney Stones are no fun, I had a couple of attacks
do not want them again. The first batch took six months to recover from. The second batch took less time to recover from, but were a different type. Those pictures a couple post above look positively terrifying.

btw: I do not to impose that pain onto anybody because as stated before, DYING is an OPTION.

Or was it gallstones? I don't know, but he was stuck in the hospital with a lot of lower abdominal pain and that was a happy week for me.

Clarkson Cancels More Concerts

American Idol star Kelly Clarkson has been forced to scrap another three dates on her American tour after failing to recover from a bout of bronchitis. The singer postponed two shows in California last week due to her health problems, but showed up for a sound check for a weekend show in Reno, Nevada. Unfortunately, she failed to hit the high notes and chose to scrap the show. She has since cancelled shows in Las Vegas, Nevada and Spokane, Washington. Clarkson did make one performance over the weekend - she was among the stars taking part in an MTV Hurricane Katrina telethon on Saturday night. That performance was taped before she fell ill.
