The Village Voice has gone to the right lately, and the reporters are afraid that, if they are bought out, there will be less of an opportunity to tell the truth. They also don't want a monopoly terminating important channels for news from the progressives. This posting is based on personal conversations I've had with some of the reporters. Their boss didn't tell them about the possible takeover. The reporters found out elsewhwere. If anyone here knows anyone who can help stop the deal, please help keep these to publications independent.

he's pretty progressive and would be upset at anything that would hem in his ability to write what and how he wants.
