When George Bush says "Freedom" does he mean the same |
|
Freedom America was based on?
Does he mean "freedom" as was discussed during the enlightenment. Freedom of expression, thought, information. Freedom from control of the religious and monied elites who control on trade, science, thought, beliefs?
No. That's another lie.
The GOP has been attacking people's freedom of getting good information. Freedom of religious expression or not. Freedom to choose a government role to intervene where markets fail.
What Freedom is George Bush talking about?
Freedom from tax if you are rich Freedom from regulation if you are a corporation Freedom from peace if you are not aggressive.

2. He Means "Freedom for Rich People" |
|
It's a classist position. Those with the wealth to be free, can be freer. The rest of us working slugs, well, we're just "the help."
Odd how he's gotten a bunch of up-from-the-fields Southern crackers to buy into it, eh?

3. When he says "Freedom" |
|
I hear the word "license".
They think they have a license to pillage the resources of the earth and kill anyone who gets in their way.
They think they have a license to increase their profits and riches at the expense of the workers.
They think they have a license to tell us what god to believe in and how to believe in (of course) HIM.
They think they have a license to tell us who we can love and who we can't.
When that shit says "freedom" I hear the word, license...

4. "Freedom" = Corporate rights + the illusion of democracy |
|
"Dictatorships / Communism" = the state, even if democratically elected, commands dominion OVER corporations.
