Today is September 13th, 2005 I am writing to you as my Representative to demand...

I am serious and this is not negotiable, nor is it to be dismissed. Come on now Mr.________, just between the two of us, you know that you have long since ceased to represent me choosing instead to represent BIG business, corporate greed, war, unjust taxation policies, record deficits, a complete disregard for the environment and religious extremists. Your values are not my values. And the choices that you have made as my "Representative" are not in my best interest. Therefore, now is the time for you to make it up to me. All these years, you've been there and done nothing in my name. All those stupid, insulting form letters I would get from you when I wrote to you of my concerns; letters from you which dismissed or denied my concerns and would go on to indicate your commitment to George W. Bush, to "his" policies, and to this corrupt administration. So, here's your opportunity to make history, and, coincidentally, to do your job of representing me. That is your job, right? I will say it again; I demand...I'll be watching you Mr._______ to be certain that you follow through with your part of this process.

But I would probably rephrase it. Around most red states, one's rep would probably think "a complete disregard for religious extremists" probably meant he wasn't giving enough money to Pat Robertson!!! ;)
