Yesterday * Thought He Was Riding In A Mardi Gras Parade.... |
|
as he drove through the streets of NO with the Mayor and Governor. As I saw the picture of him in the military vehicle - I mentally pictured him throwing beads and coins to the happy throngs on the street cheering him on.
Today the Gallup Poll and CNN are talking him up - saying people are feeling good about the governments efforts in clean-up - * doing a good job.
However, most important for *'s numbers now is for 'gas prices' to come down.
Notice - like I predicted the other day - they are coming down.
It would be interesting for someone to track *'s poll numbers in relation to 'gas prices'. I'm sure there would be a high correlation.
No matter what else is going on - Rove knows that given everything that has happened with Katrina - the thing that will really sink * is high 'gas prices'.
So we are getting all these stories now that - things weren't as bad as we thought - clean-up going fast - not as many dead - * back in the region - new FEMA head - these stories look to be driving down 'gas prices'. Actually it is Rove and *'s putting pressure on the oil companies to ease-up.
My prediction is that gas will come down to around $2.50 per gal of regular on average around the country. Even though high relative to last year at this time it will be much lower than the highs over $3.00.
This will diffuse most of the furor over * and he will skate tbe "blame game". After all - most 'Merikins' really don't care about what happened on the Gulf Coast if it didn't directly effect them - what they care about is how all this will impact on their pocketbook. 'Merikins tend to forget the bad stuff in time. Rove knows this.
Soon when the news organizations begin to lose interest in NO and they pull Solodad out of the muck - all that will be left will be 'gas prices'.
Hopefully - the Fitzgerald indictments will come down soon on this administration. If they come down while the NO furor is still high - they could reverse this trend of the current upswing for *'s numbers.

5. Can't he do anything spontaneous ? |
|
Why is everything a pre-planned photo op, can't he just turn on the news like everybody else? I saw the clip of him riding in the big truckie, so how delayed were rescue efforts this time? He'd do us and the victims all a favor by staying home. Not to mention how many gazillions of gallons of gas he wastes on the AF One shuttle.
