Today is the first day of Rove's LEGACY BUILDING
W takes responsibility for anything that might have gone right or wrong in New Orleans. He takes responsibility. He stands up and does what is right. It's coming, get ready for it.

That's what I smell. Expect the gushing guffaws of W's honesty and "doing what is right" despite what is best for him.

(rasies back of hand to furrowed brow) Oh my he is ... he is so selfless in the face of relentless blame (Scarlett O'Hara southern accent gets really heavy here) what a fine fine man he is. He cares not what others will think of him only what is right and true and just in this dangerous dangerous world.

Trust me this is what is coming. The stinch will be worse than W's mess in New Orleans.

1. It's a win win for him
He won't be able to shake the blame so he may as well accept it.

3. He's backed in a corner and has no choice
A win-win would be actually responding to the disaster the right way from the beginning.

2. This needed to be done two weeks ago
I have no doubt this is Rove at work, but they're being forced to do this because the blame shifting hasn't worked.

4. But taking responsibility is only a first step
He doesn't get to pick up his crayons and boogy. Now he has to make things right. And what it takes goes against the neocon agenda of drowning government. He stuck his foot in a trap because the response to his admission is - "Okay, so now what?"

5. I hope it works as well for him as it did for nixon.
I hope he 'takes responsibility' right to the exit door of the white house.

hey, I can hope can't I?

7. Is Rove's Legacy Building an Outhouse or
