So it sounds like Bush is going to step down, right? |
|
I mean he has said he's responsible for any lack of response to Katrina by the Federal government. That has to mean that he'll step down and submit to criminal prosecution, right?
right?
Or is it possible that he's just making a meaningless gesture?

2. His way out of being investigated |
|
He admits fault and vows to get to the bottom of it - no need for outside investigation. These guys won't go away that easy. Just can't imagine it.

5. specifically he said that |
|
he takes responsibility "To the extent the federal government didn't fully do its job right"
He is not taking responsibility for his poor judgement in putting forward inexperienced payola appointees to critical positions responsible for the lives and welfare of Americans.
Michael Brown is butt-stupid, there's no changing that. If you were the president and you put a pet rock in charge of a federal agency, YOU are responsible for the failures of that agency, and that is exactly what happened here.
He's not taking ANY responsbility for how things got there, where the real fault lies, just "To the extent the federal government didn't fully do its job right".

whitehouse investigate itself for corruption.*that;s just sick!*.Oops all are innocent, fancy that .some low ranking rotten apple in a barrel again..it's not any one of our high ranking cronies fault!Ooh Never US we are perfect..!
These people have no conscience,,they need to go NOW,but since they think they are above reproach and cannot see the shamefulness of their own actions and agendas..How will they realize they need to get out? They will have to be made to go.They are corrupted and blinding themselves to their own failure to pretend to be winners. The whitehouse is full of morally inferior sociopaths

9. Yeah, but if Brown resigned because he didn't do his job |
|
and then George Jr. claims responsibility, then it follows as does the night day that George Jr. must resign.

8. If he does step down, it's likely because he is tired of doing his job. |
|
For him, thinking, walking, and talking are difficult! Especially when you have to do it for someone else's benefit!
"Man," he'll say. "I'm tired of the bullshit."
Then to the press: "You won't have George Bush to kick around anymore!"

21. Yes, you could be right. |

I think Bush is tired of all this shit, and lying, and getting up there and stammering and stuttering, and having the people laugh at you and imply that you're an idiot.
He's probably immensely tired of all the shit going on in Iraq. Particularly since our US troops are helping establish an Islamic state over there.....can't feel too good now can it George?
Besides, the public treasury is looted.....empty. (some moths fly out). The trough has run dry. Maybe there are some other countries that still are flush with cash?

he needs to take ownership for this one - too many people saw it with their own eyes. there is no other way out of this. so he does the aw shucks, we messed up, routine and the base (plus some) forgives him.

I don't think so. Not this guy. Only way it'd happen is if "the powers that be" told him to by some sort of threat or something. I'm not holding my breath.
