CLEAN VERSION: Tweety Loves Bush; "Takes Full Responsibility"
Okay, so my last version of this post got taken down quick. Must have been the references to Tweety performing special "services" on the president.

Anyway, Tweety and his cohorts are falling all over themselves to tout this "stunning developement," that Bush is finally "accepting full responsiblity." Giving credit where it is due, Tweety did ask one question of his field reporter..."Do you think this is actually just a jumping off point to point fingers at others, state and local officials, in his speech on Thursday night?" It was all quickly brushed aside as the fawned and coo'd at Bush.

2. Bush's acceptance
I'm sure Bush's babbling reminds anyone who has ever raised children of that golden age when the child thinks that no matter what they do it will all be made right simply by mouthing, "I'm sorry" - especially if they can work up a tear.

Now, if Bush accepts responsibility for the monumental incompetence of the Feds, the question is, "So what?" What's he going to do to atone for his criminal negligence? Does his mumbling assuage the grief of those who lost loved ones as a result of his self-admitted incompetence? Even he can't believe that.

Bush must resign or be impeached NOW!

4. junior expects instantaneously a poll number rise for his profound
honesty. Does he take full responsibility for lying to the American people for WMD?

MSNBC should bring back Phil Donahue and fire Chris Matthews.

5. What is a complete embarrassment, IMO...
is that people seem to think Shrub accepting responsibility for his lack of leadership is such a "stunning development"!!! Who the hell is supposed to take responsibility for this? Why are so many falling all over themselves to pat this dickhead on the back for doing what is expected of him? BFD! It's the accountability that is important. Geez...everyone with a brain knows he's responsible.

peace.

6. This just shows how low expectations are for Bush
He admits responsibility (at some level) two weeks too late and the press acts like it's the second coming.

8. Chris Matthews has the IQ of a fence post
He's one of the dumbest TV anchors around (with the exception of Sean Hannity). I don't understand why anyone takes this dumbass seriously. The guy is a broken record with a handful of talking points. And he always falls in line when they tell him to perform certain "services" for the president.

After all, he was the one who fawned, live on air, about the presidential package during the "Mission Accomplished" photo-op.

He should wear a drool cup, seriously.

9. Talk is cheap
Now let's see some real action, Mr. President. I agree, it is stunning that they somehow cajoled, threatened, or maybe even tricked George into saying he accepts responsibility, for whatever areas in which the feds failed. I'm surprised he was able to get the word out without stuttering.

11. claiming responsibility requires consequences...
one just cannot "claim" responsibility without accepting the consequences of the "claimed" actions...

so just what consequences has bush accepted?

nothing as usual...business as usual..not any fucking more and i think he even knows he's in DEEP DOODOO with the american people.

so anyhow...one consequence that bush can accept is the formation of an INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATION, but i suspect his "responsibility moment" is just another manuever to escape said independent investigation.

up is down and down is up with these fucking people....they have no shame, morals, values, conscience, etc.

i cannot wait till bushco's house of cards to come crashing down.
