Lurking DNC interns--STEAL DU'S WISDOM. PLEASE.
DU has people who are brilliant political strategists. People who can predict the shrubbery's/Heritage Foundation's next talking point/spin. Who know what Rove's next move is before he does--he really ISN'T that smart, DNC interns--read here and learn why.

We understand how the media works better than you do; I hate to say it but we really do.

Yes, you have to wade through a tremendous amount of criticism of the DNC here--why do you suppose that is? (and I'm a die-hard 4th generation yella dawg--Google "yellow dog" if you don't know what it is--please).

If the DNC doesn't make use of DU it explains a lot about why the Democrats continue to lose the battles in the media and why Rove's not-so-brilliant tactics manage to work.

It's to the DNC's advantage to know why the RNC MUST preserve Roe v. Wade (it's been posted many times, another thread today about it); why George Bush announced his intention to "accept responsibility"--it's a winner for the good guys if we play it right--hint: John Kerry is absolutely on the right track with today's e-mail TPs; and how to address the "bipartisan" commission regarding the failures of emergency management--don't even bother, basically.

USE US, please, especially now when the polls are miserable for the administration. We have discussed why holding back and bipartisanship is a sure failure ad infinitum and we are absolutely correct in it, too.

Besides, once you post a copycat thread in the Lounge, we'll have you for good. You never get over your first time...

Signed--a DUer who honestly believes I could maybe do it better...

1. Seriously. BTW, if any interns are here, will you register at DU, please?
We would like to let you in on some ideas of ours.

2. IMHO, you're wasting your breath
The current Dem leadership is a bunch of pussies. We need leadership and strategists(sp) who are not afraid to get their hands dirty. The pukes certainly aren't:mad:

3. So far, I think Dean's doing a respectable job. This is aimed
more at the electeds.

It's time to start swinging for the fences.

If now isn't the time, it never will be.

4. I wish they'd listen to you
Cuz yer right.

To be sure, we're the fringe. We pay attention. We're largely informed. We kinda understand the game.

But we're also in touch with the pulse of the country. We're in the streets, not the ivory towers.

And by God, we CARE.

A LOT

With Passion

With heart.

We are surley not a lock step group of deluded sheep. We argue with each other. Because we care.

But in the end, there's been so much good stuff on DU, it is overwhelming .

8. In the sense that we're political/news junkies and far more
well informed than that guy on Main Street, I'd say 'yeah'.

As to our political views ... some of us are and some of us aren't.

Just my sense of things .......

10. Plus, stay for the hidden porn!
When you get to 1000 posts you get the porn decoder set! It makes the John Roberts eye threads make a lot more sense! Savvy? ;)
