The FF's have a stringent test Filter in Place to reduce/minimize Peterism/Lolos/Incompetents from entering the Dept. Most Major Cities have this implemented in their respective Fire Depts. Police and EMT MICT Programs as well.

For the HFD....you apply...HS Diploma, age height weight ratio OK, Citizenship, free of Felony, etc

Written Test

C Pak Test, very rigoreous physical feild test

Swim Test/Med check up

Oral Interview

Academy, 7 months of written and oral tests....4th test failure leads to dismissal...even at month 6. Brutal...

In my book, even if Bush was at his physical prime...he couldn't wouldn't shouldn't be a FireFighter, in this City or any other City...

He couldn't pass the filters known as EXAMS....

Think about it....What can this guy do for us, the common peeps??? without fucking it up???

He lacks Science, Curiousity, History, Economics, etc etc...worse, like others have pointed out, he don even speak very well.

As a retired FF-medic I agree wholeheartedly. Firefighters help all when called, poor, minority, disabled, etc. We also respond immediately - whether you are eating ...in the shower....middle of the night...etc. I don't care how much he rides that bike - he's still a whiny loser - another who got a job because of contacts, not personal qualities.
