Poll question: yet another hypothetical 2008 Presidential Poll
Edited on Wed Sep-14-05 10:56 AM by LSK
Who would you vote for from the follow choices? Not that these people will run or can run.

1. I'd have to go Wes Clark...
From a political standpoint, he lacks the baggage of a lot of the other candidates (Clinton, Gore, Kerry, etc.) And from a policy standpoint, he's talked the talk pretty well.

3. Gore Won Before, He Can Win Again
if they don't steal it again.

If we can't stop the election fraud, it doesn't matter who we run.

5. Gore lost.
You can say it was stolen. You can say Gore got the most votes. Both of which I believe to be true. But the fact remains, Gore lost. It should have been an easy victory, he was running against a man who was possibly the stupidest man ever to be on the presidential ballot. There is NO excuse for his loss.

IMO, if you can't beat bush, you can't beat anyone.

we'll have another 8 years of a Republican in the oval office.

Am I missing anyone?? I might add Biden, but I dont think anyone would vote for him and I think Clinton = Biden right now in terms of the DLC rep.

8. You missed Feingold...
I, personally, am a Clark supporter. I have been since he was drafted, and nothing has happened to change my position on him.

That having been said, I believe your poll is missing Feingold.

18. Biden does not = Clinton
Clinton's voting record is pretty far to the left of Biden, just look at their respective ratings from any liberal/labor interest group.

15. Is there anyone who could win in your opinion?
There will probably be one candidate in the field with celebrity status.

You know, our Arnold.

Warren Beatty? Robert Redford? Sean Penn?

21. What?!?
So in your estimation, if the Repubs go with a hottie:

our best response is a fat guy with a double chin?

Please remember people, America has no monarch who serves as a symbolic head of state, or the equivalent in a powerless President who serves the same role (as in Germany or Italy.) When Americans elect a President, they are not just electing a politician to be the head of government, they are also, in a way, electing a "king" to symbolize the nation. This is what "Presidential-looking" is all about. Sorry people, but looks count!

22. I voted for Clark, and I have two ranking systems for the rest:
Here is who I would most like to see in the White House, in order of preference (this was a tough one, I like a lot of these people):

Clark, Gore, Dean, Feingold, Kucinich, Edwards, Kerry, Clinton.

Here is who I would vote for if the primary were held today, in order of preference, based not just on who I would most like to see in the White House, but also considering those who have the best chance of defeating the Republican nominee (it gets tough after Clark)

Clark

Edit, sorry, I just can't decide who would come next on the second list and the order. Honestly, I can't. First list was much easier :-).

23. Nothing will matter when Bin Laden makes a videotaped appearance
just days prior to the election.

Shop as usual, and avoid panic voting.

24. Actually, if God forbid such an event should occur
It would matter even more who the Democratic nominee was.

I'd suggest it is all something we should think about in the primary booth.

25. Nah, "Al Qaeda" is clearly scraping the bottom of the barrel....
When their only spokesmen these days are a computer generated unseen guy with an infinite number of spare legs, and an inexplicably recruited Jewish kid from Orange County (Adam Pearlman)

Apparently all the fake Osamas in the Screen Actor's Guild were unavailable?
