Turncoat MN mayor gets hammered for supporting Chimpy

Remember the Democratic mayor of St. Paul, MN, who endorsed Bush in 2004? Given the results of yesterday's nonpartisan primary, that's starting to look like a really bad move.

Among longtime observers of St. Paul politics, no one Tuesday night could recall a time since the city switched to a nonpartisan primary in 1978 that a sitting mayor has lost a primary election.



Hang that Bush albatross around the neck of every single politician who endorsed him. That endorsement wasn't just for Bush, but for every failure perpetuated during his administration -- Iraq, the Gulf Coast, the budget deficit, and so on
