"I've been a democrat all my life, but I'm voting republican this time."
Just saw a nauseating TV ad for Doug Forrester. Series of Average Joes and female counterparts claiming:
1. Democrats in NJ are corrupt.
2. They've in office too long.
3. Their corruption has by itself led to higher property taxes.
4. It's time for a change.

Now mind you, there have been no complaints about our governor pro tem, Richard J. Cody, nor corruption investigations for our democratic representatives in the assembly or senate. Nor country freeholders. Not to mention they are implying that this is the status quo, it is accurate, and that Jon Corzine is part of the same pot of stew.

The ad has Rove's fingerprints all over it.

4. I doubt that ad will convince anyone! I live in GA and I know
there have been a lot of corrupt PUB politicians in NJ!

When there's corruption in your state gov't, you know it! Trying to blame it on the other party just won't work.

5. Smear & Fear
Why run on the issues when you can smear the opponent or make the people fear invisible bogeymen. And why change when Democrats are usually more than willing to jump in and help, because you know, where there's smoke there must be fire.

6. Swimming against the tide.
I hear moderate Republicans saying the EXACT opposite phrase these days. Poll numbers also reflect this sentiment of moderates abandoning the GOP.

7. Forrester also sponsored a radio commercial against '60 Minutes'
Last year, when "Rathergate" was in the news, Forrester thought he'd get himself some early attention by paying for a vanity political ad/op-ed piece, blasting Dan Rather and CBS News for the botched expose on Bush's NG service.

10. LBJ once accused an opponent of
having sex with his cattle. He later said, " I knew he didn't do it, I just wanted to here him have to deny it". That's Rove's entire playbook in a nutshell.

(Above is a foggy memory, foregive me if I got it a little wrong)

25. Thats not the issue. The posting rules for DU, as I have suggested you...
...read already, state, "Democratic Underground is an online community for Democrats and other progressives. Members are expected to be generally supportive of progressive ideals, and to support Democratic candidates for political office." Clearly, since you are an admitted Repugnant, you should not have posting rights as laid at by the administrators of this site. You will eventually be tombstoned. But I understand that Republicans have a sense of entitlement, and don't feel that rules apply to them, so I know why you don't think they apply to you.

Enjoy your short stay.

Reuters Photog Appears to Capture Bush at U.N. Writing Note About 'Bathroom Break'

By E&P Staff

Published: September 14, 2005 7:35 PM ET

NEW YORK In what seems destined to become one of the most yacked about photos of the month, if not year, a Reuters photographer today seems to have captured President George W. Bush scribbling a note to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice suggesting that he needed to take a "bathroom break" during a session at the United Nations.

29. Ah, to see the dead before the burial!
Read this and read this good, worm food - your Presidope is the WORST, most asinine FUCKING IDIOT to sabotage that office. Not a single ONE of you Klansmen over at RimJob's site can name a DAMNED thing he's done right. Everything this fucker has done has FAILED, and YOU KNOW IT! Doing what one THINKs is right doesn't actually MAKE it right, so stop confusing the two.

AND WILL. YOU. PLEASE. STOP IT ALREADY WITH THE "LIBERAL MEDIA" CANARD!! GOD how long are you going to beat this dead horse into the earth? There IS NO LIBERAL MEDIA. Lamestream Media is run by six Puke-favoring companies.

Proud to support this president . . . amazing. Where in the HELL do people like you come from? Are you bred in meth labs or something?
