1. Broadcasting it to friends and family.
All he needs to do now is "stay the course" and he'll fulfill my prediction: out by August 2006.

4. I used to love this graph -- before November 2004.
And the linear equation makes no sense, since we know that the graph is curvilinear: Dubya's numbers go up when certain events happen, then go back to their natural decline, go up progressively less with those events (nothing again like 9/11), but went up when they needed to (i.e., by November 2004). That there's up and down and that that variation is declining suggests the need not just for linear time, T, but also at least for T-squared and T-to-the-third.

8. O-kay..
I tried to follow that, but you lost me...well, pretty much after 'curvilinear'. Can you repeat that in english?

10. Actually, the nexus of the curvalicious variation is wanting...
As the enumbered digitalis line is extremiffic, so must the declineatory equation to the fith.

11. Good point but...
His poll numbers went up in the "corporate" polls but not in the fouindation or private concerns, just enough to justify winning. Looking at the very best evidence we have on election day, the national and state election polls, he lost. 1/3 of the country doesn't have a paper trail, these polls do and in the last two elections they were off less than 1%.

The real message here is:

"He dropped FIVE points in the last month." That will do.

Lets see how his five trips to NOLA do for his numbers. I suspect that the WH, which is poll driven, is noticing the free fall continue and sees this as the conclusion. Ultimately its up toe the people. If collectively we decided to be fooled again, we'll that's our tough luck and also the worlds.

Events unfolding, yet to be determined, or as the 8 Ball says "Ask again later."

Now how do you estimate the value of junior in the coming months? Do you indeed think that Americans are holding junior baby as close to their hearts as Barbara Bush?

9. Right!
Would should Georgie worry about his poll numbers? I remember him saying that he only cared about the "only poll that matters--the election". I know I'll never believe the election results again.

14. View while listening to
http://www.seeklyrics.com/lyrics/Tom-Petty/Free-Falling.html

Tom Petty - Free Falling

She's a good girl, loves her mama
Loves Jesus and America too
She's a good girl, crazy 'bout Elvis
Loves horses and her boyfriend too
It's a long day living in Reseda
There's a freeway runnin' through the yard
And I'm a bad boy cos I don't even miss her
I'm a bad boy for breakin' her heart

And I'm free, free fallin'
Yeah I'm free, free fallin'
All the vampires walkin' through the valley
Move west down Ventura Boulevard
And all the bad boys are standing in the shadows
All the good girls are home with broken hearts ...

CHORUS
Free fallin', now I'm a, free fallin', now I'm a
Free fallin',now I'm a, free fallin', now I'm a
I wanna glide down over Mulholl
and I wanna write her name in the sky
Gonna free fall out into nothin'
Gonna leave this world for a while...

CHORUS (with backing vocals)

CHORUS (and backing vocals) AGAIN

21. and think about all the people hit by Katrina who haven't been voting yet-
The people really hit the hardest and are scattered all over the place in shelters aren't taking these polls yet and they are probably the most pissed off. I don't know how such a mass of people displaced would effect polling samples, but there has to be some drop with the Katrina people are included in the sample.

24. poor regression analysis
I want to see the regression analysis with the pre-9/11 data omitted, because there is a much clearer trend (consequently, with a better correlation coefficient than .12) post-9/11.

That straight line fit to the data SUCKS. Really, really sucks - sorry, as a scientist this sort of thing gets me going ;-). They should have just fit to the downward trend segment over the last few weeks.
