Will Bush cry crocodile tears for the cameras tonight? |
|
Bush has such pathetic approval ratings he has to do something to get attention. Will he cry some big crocodile tears and ask forgiveness the way Jimmy Swaggart did? I am expecting to see it happen sooner or later with this media manipulator.

but if he cries, that might short out the connection to the "bad tailoring" on the back of his suit, no?

or their family members (preferably of color) in the audience...smiling and applauding as he recognizes them and their "sacrifice". No doubt he will quote some intrepid soul who has vowed to rebuild...and that will be held out as the "spirit of America"...a good place to get teary eyed there.

Wouldn't surprise me. He's not above using ANY manipulations he think will help his cause, and bolster his image. I'm grateful that it took such a beating in the first place. Because he shouldn't even BE here now. It should be President Kerry. In which case there'd be no such speech, because help would have reached New Orleans LONG before this in a Kerry administration, and you'd have a veep like John Edwards already implementing his "New Deal-style" proposals to get people back to work down there, rebuilding their neighborhoods.
And there would have been far more competent leadership in FEMA, somebody sensible and experienced in Homeland Security, and probably no partisanship against somebody like Haley Barbour, even though he's from the enemy party. AND, most important of all, you'd have a death toll that was MUCH smaller.

The collective heartstrings of the nation shall be plucked & all will be forgiven. In his dreams!
I may well be somewhat entertaining, albeit repulsive.

I can hardly make it through one of his SOTU address's which is always a tissue of bullshit and lies. But his sudden caring and rebuilding dreams for NO is just crap. The ONLY thing he's got on his mind are fat FUCKING contracts for Halliburton and the rest.

I'm expecting tears, and multiple references to terror. He'll pull out all the stops for this one.
And, I also predict that some idiot pundit will declare the speech "masterful."

17. I wasn't expecting him to shed real tears. |

This bunch of Neo-Cons do not have hearts. They do not care about humanity or anything except their mission. Their mission is to make their friends as rich as possible while doing their best to establish a ruling class that will become entrenched for decades to come. They would do whatever they felt necessary to support their cause. Propaganda is just a tool they use for their greater purpose. They would never cry real tears for anyone who dies because of their actions. They are people who do not have any sort of normal human feelings.

15. No way. He's a "tough guy". |

Nothing would make him look worse in the eyes of his followers than breaking down and crying like a punk. There is as much a chance of this as there is for him resigning, zero.
