Poll question: In light of Katrina, how do we appeal to Minorities for their vote? |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-16-05 12:28 PM by Totally Committed
The tragedy of Hurricane Katrina has brought the issues of Race and Class in American society front and center.
While the Republican Party has been far worse, in both policy and attitude, to minorities, The Democratic Party has made promises to minorities for decades in order to court them for their votes. These promises, as we witnessed in the wake of Katrina, have gone largely unkept.
How can we, as a Party, appeal to minorites for their vote in light of our unkept promises of the past?

Sorry. but it goes without saying that only a Democrat with backbone would want to have an honest dialogue about how we have let all minorites down, and How we can do better. Doncha think?
