George W. Bush's political philosophy: Right from the horse's mouth,
"my political philosophy is based on the premise that you can fool some of the people all of the time - I intend to concentrate on those people."
quoted in "Running On Empty" by Peter G. Peterson.

That is just so embarrassing for all the people who still support George. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

1. Those that support him, probably
would be inclined to think this is just him joking around. Just that 'good old boy' being down to earth and funny (in their eyes)...

:eyes:

6. Peterson had it in quotes. Maybe he was there when George said it.
I looked, but he didn't cite a source as far as I could tell. But he is a credible guy.

7. do you really believe he could actually come up with that thought himself?
I can't believe he is capable of formulating an entire sentence by himself.

9. Probably the only thing he remembers from American history class.
He majored in it at Yale. As much as he could major in anything but conniving, hate, derision, and hubris.

10. Gridiron Club dinner routine, 2001
Some speechwriter apparently fed him that as a laugh line, but it sure does hit pretty close to the truth. BBC reported:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/1241240.stm

Speaking of his "political philosophy", remember his claim in response to a debate question that his favorite political philosopher was Jesus? If he would ever quit lying, maybe he could at least keep his story straight.
