Anyone notice what I did about the clips of the Daily Show on the Emmy's?

They did about 3 clips of it at various times and they were all Kerry-bashing :-)

Stewart didn't do a heck of a lot of Kerry bashing on his show. Just the occasional joke here and there. Seems odd that they chose those segments.

However, I did like the 'prepared segment' that Stewart did when he was announcing... Hilarious dubbing: "George Bush hates Black <Sabbath>"

Like CBS wanted to avoid "offending" Chimpy's supporters, figuring it was safe to make fun of Kerry. . . . This was, in itself, offensive to me.

i didn't watch the show. but it makes more sense now. CBS and some others are still sensitive to the "liberal media" thing and go to lengths, many times unfairly to the liberal side to seem like they are fair.

CBS were most likely chosen by top people at CBS.

After all the hilarious skewering Stewart regularly delivers Bush, CBS chooses to run clips of the relatively unfunny and unrepresentative pokes Stewart took at Kerry.

That's the problem. In Canada we have a great 'far left' party. They often win provincial legislatures where they govern economically like liberals (or moderate Dems) - it is just the social policy where they shine and generate ideas. National Healthy Care - all sorts of regulations come from the far left. They produce one great idea after another. But they have to copy the liberal economic policies because they don't have ones of their own.

9. I believe the problem is

there are too many 'far left' plans in the United States. Everyone has their own idea of what they want the government to do, and they vary a lot. Most of the people with detailed ideas, arent the people you see on tv though. The people on tv tend to be the coffee house liberals, who simply don't like what the right does and want something better done.

I saw it too.All of it.They showed other scenes with him seriously bashing bush.I think they put Kerry in there to even it out so it wouldn't look like they gave him the award because he "hates" Bush.

Or a comment on America's beaten wife syndrome shown prior to the award he lost. Forgot what Blither Boy spewed but Jon added, in his Bu$h voice, "I hit ya 'cause I love ya". (paraphrased but it was there.)

Hell, a LOT of us don't like Kerry. There's no cloak and dagger stuff involved, we just think he lost us the election by being so unable to connect with....well......ANYBODY.

Stewart definitely takes swipes at Dems when he doesn't agree with them.
