3. Before the cane
the "prevailing wage" for a lot of NOLA jobs was only $9 per hour.

One DUer had a relative that was planning on going to NO because last year in Florida he made $2,000 per week.

IMHO,,not only was Bush spreading FEMA money around like hotcakes before the election, he wanted a lot of construction workers to make top dollar and be thankful to him, before the election

Now no election and no money for construction workers.

4. Bush, this arrogant stupid ASS, will screw workers out of a prevailing....
wage to increase Halliburton's bottom line. The phony holy roller will always compromise the American worker in favor of his precious tax cuts to the rich and powerful; both individuals and corporations. When will this insanity END??????

6. I know how Repubs work
Suspending this DB act is just the beginning of what lies ahead..the Repubs have been trying to completely destroy this wage protection for years and they will(mark my word)try and make this permanent..

7. One more comment
along the subject of DB..If every union in the country would have stood up to Reagan in '81 when he fired the Air Controllers and went on stoke it would have only taken about 1 day to set him straight..That was the beginning of the end for unions..something the Republicans still gloat about........
