NEW GALLUP POLL: CHIMPY AT 40% AND FALLING FAST!!!
That's right people, I said Gallup. That's a 6 point drop from their last abominable poll. If Gallup has him at 40%, you can be sure every other poll will be mid 30's. Oh, and this poll is POST Chimpy's big Katrina speech.

http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/09/19/bush.poll/index.html?section=cnn_latest

Bush approval rating at 40 percent
Majority disapprove of the handling of Katrina, Iraq

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush's vow to rebuild the Gulf Coast did little to help his standing with the public, only 40 percent of whom now approve of his performance in office, according to a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll released Monday.

will look to put an asterik next to their term for legacy's sake. Or should I say 'another" asteick -- in light of the fact that the stolen election being the first one. I expect something terrible might soon happen. This Administration is utterly dangerous and psychopathic.

5. So the speech didn't work.
Folks got him figured out. It's about time. People want action and results, not days of prayer and speeches that pay lip service.

8. Why did anyone in the Poodle Press think that comparing him
to FDR and LBJ would enhance his standing with his racist base? It boggles the mind.

12. He's dead wood and why aren't Dems using a chainsaw now.
This is a critical time for all Democratic politicians
to clearly and loudly, using whatever soap box
they can find, make clear differences between
what Republicans have done under Bush to this
country and us and what Democrats would and will
do.

You guys are risking losing us, your base if you
remain silent and don't do the right thing.

13. I agree
Democrats should be pounding his administration now, going after all of them.

Why, eg, has Cheney been let off the hook for disappearing for nearly two weeks during this disaster?

I saw the results of some polls today, it's all bad news for Bush and these were AFTER the speech.

Eg, this was on the news:

82% of those polled want an INDEPENDENT investigation!! So why are Republians allowed to go against the will of the people? It's time to start emailing and calling all Republicans, imo.

32% now support the war, so Democrats can safely demand bringing the troops home, stopping the building of bases etc.

58% of those polled were not impressed with Bush's speech or trips to NO. They believe he 'doesn't really care about the victims, but is doing it only for political purposes.

Those are all I can remember, there were a few others, but I don't remember them well enough to post with certainty.

19. I agree, I noticed the MSM slammed Pelosi for opposing...
the Katrina commision and slamming her for saying Bush is oblivious, it's not working this time!!

People are fed up with the bullshit, and I hope they're not going to take it anymore. Complicit media be dammed!!

I hope his administration plummets to the 20s. (I doubt it can get any lower than 25, there will always be some diehard idiot freeps to pad the numbers).

Then, after the impeachment leaves him more open to prosecution----> Hague. That's my dream.
