This Administration Is Done For
This Administration Is Done For
September 19th, 2005

The conservative American Spectator reports that “this Administration is done for.” The atmosphere sure has changed since last November, when the Republicans felt like they had the “political capital” to pursue their policies (despite the opposition of a majority of voters to virtually all specific GOP policy positions). From The American Spectator:

Publicly, the White House will tell you that it intends to push ahead with two of its big legislative issues throughout the fall: making permanent the first term tax cuts and Social Security reform.

Even privately, with the political and policy debacle that the White House created with its Clintonian response to Hurricane Katrina, policy and political types at 1600 Pennsylvania insist what’s left of an agenda is still viable.

But at this stage of the game, barring some imaginative political moves that bear some resemblance to the Bush Administration circa 2002, Republicans on Capitol Hill and even some longtime Bush team members in various Cabinet level departments say this Administration is done for.

1. Don't count on it, the power of evil has a very strong affinity for ....
...survival by becoming good in appearances yet retaining the purposes and focus on doing evil.

11. They will act just as they always do. They think they are right.
Some will run for cover as they are in it for the greed but the ones that really think they did it all on their own and so every one should will hand with Bush.

2. "Clintonian response"?
I swear, these people will never lose their hard-on for Clinton.

The current administration can't even hold a candle to the Clinton administration's response to hurricanes.

13. If only! They WISH their response had been "Clintonian"
Seems like the folks in New Orleans were expecting that much, anyway.

16. After Central Florida's Killer Tornados...
in the late 90's, Slick Willy surveyed the damage in Marine 1. He even flew over my house. It was surreal. Luckily, the last wave of tornadoes missed my house by about 2 miles.

As for the end of the administration, it all comes down to KKKarl's fate. If he is still in there, he'll just draw another pentagram and fire up the ouija board to "divine" his next move.

17. Clinton FIXED FEMA but * Broke it Again!
Edited on Mon Sep-19-05 09:42 PM by SharonAnn
Bush, Sr. broke FEMA, Clinton fixed it, Bush, Jr. broke it again.

FEMA did well in 2001, * hadn't yet had time to break it so badly.

'Nuff said.

3. beware the con within the con
this "administration" is a gang of conmen who have flim-flammed their collective way into a couple trillion bucks of our money.

In any elegant con, there is a protective mechanism built in that allows the suspicious victim to think they've uncovered a con--not the one actually being perpetrated, but one that causes the victim to let his or her guard down, deflects suspicion from the actual criminals and allows the grifters to finish the crime and make their getaway.

don't be distracted by sleight of hand.

5. You know Bush is secretly hoping that this next hurricane
hits TX or LA hard so he can immediately fly down there and pretend he actually gives a shit about the American people.

And the sad thing is that Americans will overlook his disastrous presidency and rally around him.

And he still won't tell us how he is going to pay for anything.

7. What the hell have they been smoking?
"Even privately, with the political and policy debacle that the White House created with its Clintonian response to Hurricane Katrina, policy and political types at 1600 Pennsylvania insist what’s left of an agenda is still viable".

"Clintonian response to Hurricane Katrina"? :wtf: is THAT supposed to mean? Those people WISH Clinton was still in office, they wouldn't be in the predicament they are now! FEMA actually WORKED during the Clinton years, then bush, like everything else that had Clinton's mark on it, dismantled it. Fuck wads!

12. yeah but that legacy.....
it just occurred to me: it's a given that bush has proven to be lacking in so many areas to put it mildly, but damn! this guy gets to leave one legacy of lasting effect (you know, long after he is sitting on his front porch in crawford...oh yeah,, that might be next week...), of course I mean the SCOTUS noms. Any chance he might not even have enough capital for that? AS IN SOME GOP'ers joining in with the Dems in the name of moderation? can we harbor a tiny hope??? obviously this is going to be as important as anything else this bozo does his entire career.

let's keep a good thought. :) :) :)

14. see. this is the problem in a nutshell
they confuse clinton's actions with the mess bush has created, and the confusion is intentional. it's like war, a war on the american people and their understanding of what's truth. and the enemy of america isn't just bush, but those who try to smear a public servant like clinton with a crook like bush...
let's killem all and let satan sortem out
