Err, I mean Bush. We all know that is approval rating is trolling 40% but know his (pathetic) leadership is under assault.

CNN just aired poll numbers on Bush's Leadership over the past three weeks, they are getting squeezed hard. This has been one of Bush so-called "strengths"

CNN/Gallup poll 9/19/05

today 49% approves/ 51% disapproves
9/8 52% approve/ 47% disapproves
8/28 60% approve/40% disapprove

I jotted these done from the TV report. I'll get links posted in a bit.
Here's the gallup link, if you have a subscription you can get more detail.

1. It blows me away that almost half of all Americans view bush
as a "strong and decisive leader" while the rest of us see him as a whiny mama's boy. How can two such diametrically opposed views of one person be possible? One group is in big time denial and I think I know which one it is.

2. Heh, heh

So the blue-church speech did not shape up his numbers?

Still, too many 'Murkans believe this nut is strong and decisive?

7. He's between a rock and a hard place...
He had to make that speech to try and get his approval numbers back up (who among us really believes he gives a shit about the rebuilding of NOLA outside of making sure Halliburton and Bechtel makes big $$$?), because most of America felt he wasn't doing enough.

And now his base, those wonderful, compassionate, loving RW Extremist Christian Evangelicals -- CHINOS (Christians-in-name-only) -- have gotten their panties in a wad over him "giving away the store" to a bunch of Black "Welfare Queens" (thier words, not mine)... they think he's doing too much.

I love it!

5. Does it even make any difference at all
with Diebold ? I mean really come on now. Sure I want us to win. I just don't see how with them controlling the tabulators. They are not about to give up their power ever again. Why should they. Most of our Democratic leaders aren't saying jack shit about electronic vote stealing. Sometimes it makes me think they are all in it together and the entire election process is just a way to get billions of dollars donated and create an illusion that the people have a choice. Both sides are controlled by corporations. The corporate lobbyists are on the House and Senate floor telling our representatives which bills to vote yea and nay on. It's fucking sickening.

6. That's crossed my mind a few times in the last 25 years. Maybe the
only opposition party is the people ourselves. Sure doesn't seem to be one in Washington.

8. Well now,
He's still got a ways to go to make these numbers as bad as his numbers for economy, Iraq, and his overall favorability.

Come on Bush, we're pulling for you. We believe you can get those numbers all in the 20's if you work at it long enough.
