Poll question: Let's get this out of the way - PRIMARY vote - will you vote for Hillary?
Let's assume she runs in the Democratic primary. (please don't confuse with general election)

Will YOU vote for her or for someone else.

1. Let's get this out of the way - 2006 comes BEFORE 2008.
Please focus.

3. I'm voting Republican in 2006...
:sarcasm:

What's the point of your message?

What is there to "focus" on about 2006 that's not painfully obvious?

Besides, I live in NJ and my Democratic Congressman isn't going anywhere. Nothing more for me to think about in 2006...

9. My Democratic Rep is safe too. That's why I'm helping a candidate...
...against an entrenched Republicon in a nearby district. What are YOU doing to help the cause in 2006? Besides distracting others not in safe Dem districts with 2008 hypotheticals that could change wildly in three years?

NGU.

There's plenty of time and space to discuss BOTH 2006 and 2008.

on edit: don't type angry

19. Because I don't know.
Given that we haven't had a primary yet, I have no immediate 2006 plans outside of voting.

What other OBLIGATIONS must I meet to be entitled to my opinions and post on this board?

I've answered your question.

Don't avoid mine.

26. Why are you trying to distort my words?
Edited on Tue Sep-20-05 11:29 AM by ClassWarrior
When did I EVER said you're not entitled to post your opinion? I simply said that polls about 2008 are distracting, and it's more important to focus on 2006, instead of playing hypothetical games.

How, by the way, do you consider a poll "your opinion?" By definition a poll is a request for others' opinions.

>When did I EVER said you're not entitled to post your opinion?

I never said you did. I was asking a question. Check it out and feel free to quote me.

You don't have answer that, the point is you're really dragging this down to a place that I simply don't understand.

>How, by the way, do you consider a poll "your opinion?"

Try to follow: it's my opinion that it's a valid question to be asked at this time and that's why I posted the poll. That is how this poll is my opinion.

Now, why are you being so hard on me?

12. Garrett and Ferguson
While you may live in one of NJ's great Democratic District's just remember next year we all must do what we can do to get Garrett ( one of the eleven who voted against Hurricane Relief) out of office in the 5th and Delay's buddy Mr Ferguson out in the 7th.

15. But we have a Governor race this year
Corzine is ahead in the polls, but there is still some residue of the corruption issue (from canvassing last weekend). Several people mentioned McGreevey. Now, you likely remember De Francisco pulled out because of corruption, but for some people it is an issue for the Democrats - though it had nothing to do with Corzine. But there are already ads trying to link Democrats/Corzine/Corruption. (A few weeks ago when Kerry predicted it could get nasty, because that's how the Republicans act - he was right.)

Our local paper is doing a massive multi-day, multi- article effort on property tax. I haven't read all of it, but there are some things that are not fair. One person they profiled compared her much lower Oklahoma Property taxes and said the schools were at least as good there. (SATs say otherwise, and ignore NJ is a high cost area) In my town, the man profiled has a LTTE in nearly every issue of our weekly local paper complaining about school costs. He heads a group called STOP. This is not random selection.

It would be better to get involved on the 2005 or we could be surprised with a conservative Republican Governor.

4. It would totally depend on who else was running
and what they're chances were in the general election.

If there was a more left candidate who was as dynamic as Dean and able to deal with the attempts to destroy him/her - I would vote for that person.

7. Nope. If it was Hillary vs. Big Bird - Big Bird gets my vote.
I don't care who is running against her. I will not vote for her. I don't even care if she is the Democratic Nominee, I just won't vote in the General Election or vote 3rd Party. I know when it comes right down to important issues and values that she will sell us out. Her husband did, at least to gays, and she will do the same. ABH (Anybody But Hillary) - that's my vote.

10. I have high doubts she could
win a presidential election, but I think she would pull some weight with the moderates, undecideds, and less "dedicated" republicans who are sick of the current shit by running as the vice president -- I for one would like to see Bill Clinton back in office to help fix this shit, and this may be as close as we can get him to it ;)

As long as Diebold are counting the votes, the winner will be selected, not elected.

32. Serious question for all anti-Hillary people:
Would you support a Clark-Clinton ticket in the general election? I ask this because a lot of people who refuse to vote for Hillary tend to be big Clark supporters. So, if Clark is nominated and chooses Clinton as his VP, would you be willing to vote for that ticket?
