Is this Website Documenting Rush's Homosexuality accurate????
http://pssht.com/biography/rush_limbaugh.html

"...After more failed stints with Missouri radio stations Limbaugh
moved to Sacramento, CA, where he met and became "friends"
with Norm Woodruff, a flamboyant, openly gay man with a
great deal of influence in the local radio scene. Woodruff, who
mentored Limbaugh in the ways of affluence and elitism (traits
Rush mocks today), would later died of AIDS.

Through his ties to Woodruff Limbaugh was given Morton
Downey, Jr.'s spot on KFBK News Talk 1530 a.m. Within
twelve months Limbaugh had become the most popular radio
personality in Sacramento. In 1988 he signed on with EFM
Media Management, working from New York City..."

4. Well, Rush's biographer confirmed that Woodruff was his gay mentor.
From a review of the undisputed biography "RUSH!" by Michael Arkush

Library of Congress catalog number 93-90612
ISBN: 0-380-77539-5

Arkush was not entirely complimentary. He criticizes Rush for not crediting Norm Woodruff for pulling the strings that got him into KFBK, which was where he was working when he met Ed McLaughlin. Norm gave Rush that last chance (he had been fired a number of times and fallen into obscurity while working in baseball). Norm taught Rush how to dress for success and presented him to KFBK at a key moment -- upon the firing of Morton Downey. Arkush says Rush fails to give Woodruff his just credit for his involvement in Rush's success, which if it ever does come will have to come posthomolously. Woodruff died in the mid 1980's of AIDS. He was gay.

As far as whether or not he is gay, I hope not!! What a terrible thing that would be for decent gays everywhere!

Instead of gay bashing. What is he hiding by never mentioning this career making friend of his?

How come "Norm" never comes up when Rush reminisces about his old days as Rock & Roll DJ, "Jeff Christie?"

And you are right- Rush is also a fashion designer...hmmmmmm.

And the other main difference is Jerry did not have gay friends that he kept secret from his fans.

Compare this to Rush's 3 childless (sexless?) marriages and his secretive treatment of his mentor, Norm Woodruff.

Edited on Tue Sep-20-05 05:14 PM by Dr Fate
Some gay men apparently do that, some do not. Plus Wilde was back in the 1800's- when you could go to prison for being gay-as he did. So it's no suprise that Wilde went that far to cover himself.

Looks like we are back to square one.

What is Rush's reason for never having kids? I thought he was all for conservative family life, the sanctity of marriage, etc.

All these secrets he keeps are very suspicious, to say the least.

If he was like "Yeah- I knew a gay man pretty well back in the '70s- he was a troubled soul, but an alright guy- Sure, he helped me out a bit- but I'm still against gay rights..."

That would be one thing.

But Rush is very tight-lipped about his old close friend- as if he is hiding somthing- and that makes folks wonder.

One source, Michael Arkush's biography of Rush, is not a parody at all:

Of Course the use of the "Biography" logo is parody. That is all that disclaimer pertains to.

I asked if the info was accurate. A look at Rush's undisputed biography shows that some of it is.

The existence of Rush's gay mentor, Norm Woodruff is documented fact- as is the fact that Rush has kept Norm a secret from his fans. He also kept his drug use secret.

I wonder-What other secrets does this guy keep?

Inspired by Clinton-induced vitriol, Limbaugh paid a ghostwriter
to author for him See, I Told You So (1992), Nanny Nanny,
Boo Boo (1993), and I'm Rubber. You're Glue. Whatever You
Say Bounces off Me and Sticks to You (1994).

And here's the disclaimer:
All material herein is intended as parody. Any similarity in format or
"personnel" is purely satirical.

What part of "All material" don't you understand?

Basically, what you're doing is acting just like Rush Limbaugh would. Not a very progressive thing to do.

59. Holy Shit- a transcript of Rush mentioning his gay mentor:
Edited on Thu Sep-22-05 02:46 AM by Dr Fate
Rush:

I was using email, Compuserve, on-line
services all the way back to 1985, you know, when I was
introduced to the stuff. By the late, great Norm Woodruff
out in Sacramento, KFBK, so, when I started out there.

More:
http://soleft.blogspot.com/rushtranscript/2003-05-20.tx...

While one of his early career mentors was a gay man named Norm Woodruff <15>, he opposed teaching grade school students about homosexuality in 1993 and wrote of gay rights as being special rights. In 2003 the progressive Pittsburgh Independent Media Center Participate ran a story about a small business owner named Elliot Sanders who said that he and Limbaugh were lovers while in college. Limbaugh has denied the accusation as being a politically motivated attack by the "liberal media". Limbaugh has made similar statements about transsexuals, being quoted by Salon as saying of the winner of the "Miss Plastic Surgery" contest, on his December 13, 2004 show, "I don't know what the winner gets. Probably a certificate to go to San Francisco to have an add-a-dick-to-me operation." <16>
