TO PROTEST: Demand Congress tell TRUE reasons for Iraq War
Since the stated reasons for the war have been proven to be lies, we need to ask Democrats which of the real goals for the war they agree with and if they think it is worth the loss of American lives.

Was it to secure oil supplies for the US and be in a position to intimidate and invade Iraq's neighbors, as Bush is already threatening to do?

Or was it so American oil companies could profit from Iraq's oil instead of Russian and French ones as the world's oil supply declines?

Or were they concerned about Saddam trading oil in dollars and other countries following suit?

Then do not allow them to say one word about any of the following:

WMD
terrorism
spreading democracy
training troops

The first two are too embarassing to even discuss anymore.

The third is proven a lie by our support of dictators elsewhere like Saudi, Pakistan, and Egypt, and our actions against elected leaders in Venezuela, Haiti, and any place else locals stand up to big business.

Training troop and police is a circular argument. Their poor performance doesn't show a lack of competence, but a lack of justice in the cause we are asking them to fight for. Iraqis are militarily competent. They managed to invade Kuwait and fight the much bigger Iran to a standstill. The training argument assumes we invaded a Stone Age society that just descended from the trees and learned to walk upright. We did not.

It is time to stop being polite. Obviously, Bush is insulated from real questions, but Democrat and Republican, senators and congressman have to show up at public forums sooner or later, and these are the questions that MUST be asked of them, and they MUST be interrupted the second they start to lie.
