1. I am running out of words when it comes to Kerry :)
He is my President, and I am so proud of the work he is doing.

And with that said, I could just sit down and have a good cry.

2. This shows you how naive I am but -
I emailed his office asking if I could meet with President Kerry! Of course, I referred to him with his alter-ego title of "Senator" so as not to tip them off that I know his REAL title.

I would love to meet him. He is just - well, I have a lot of respect for the man. He and Conyers just keep me believing in the Democratic Party, you know?

3. I know '08 is a long way off
and we must concentrate on the '06 elections. BUT, the more I think about it, I wonder if running Kerry/Edwards again wouldn't be such a bad idea.

It would show our continued faith that we KNEW how good they would have been for this country, and the world.

They have remained visible and vocal. They have stayed on message, especially Edwards' 'two Americas".

They have already been 'swift boated', smeared and investigated. The repugs would look foolish rehashing all of it. If we have a different candidate, the outrageous tactics of the right would start all over again, relentlessly, especially if Hillary Clinton is the nominee.

Kerry/Edwards could be free to tell this country how they will make us proud of ourselves again. And the rest of us can attack the repug candidate with both barrels.

They have what it takes. Yes, there are many other grand Dems who I would vote for but I'd be happy just knowing that they would be part of the administration.

Clark as National Security Adviser, Gore to head EPA, Witt at FEMA. I'd love for Madeline Albright to come back in some capacity; UN or Secretary of State. Maxine Waters at HUD. Mario Cuomo as UN Ambassador. The list is endless.

Who knows, by the time we seriously consider this, a lot of repugs might be in jail!

5. I like your picks for Kerry's Cabinet!
and we must add John Conyers for the Voting Act!

Instead of Cuomo as UN Ambassador, I say Bill Clinton. He would love it, and the world loves him. Plus he has enough charisma to chill things
out around the world.

6. Clinton would be fine with me!
Look at the talent and competent people we have to choose from.
I really want them to run again.

Can you imagine Conyers as Attorney General? - - the anti-Ashcroft!

16. That would be great! The Black Caucus is loyal and should
be the source of more than one cabinet member.

14. Before we concentrate on 2006, we better concentrate on a fair
electoral process. We didn't lose...the electronic voting was rigged.

22. I See Where You Are Going
In order to guarantee victory (assuming that McCain allows KKKarl to run things), the ticket has to be Kerry/Rodham Clinton. Along that same line of thinking, Gore should be Secretary of the Interior, better than head of EPA.

If it turns out to be John² again, though, I'll have no complaints!

10. Don't flame me - but I think he owes it to the CBC after they way
he totally overlooked minorities when putting together his campaign. Bush went to more African-American churches and neighborhoods than Kerry. Then all of a sudden, it was if they realized that they were taking the African-American vote for granted, and he began to include more people of color in his rounds.

He totally missed the ball on that one. I am glad his is doing this now. I don't think he originally did it on purpose, but as long as you learn from your mistakes, ya' know...

he got criticized for that as well. There's no winning when you're Johnny Velcro.

I was a very harsh critic of the campaign's lack of rapidness in reaching out to minorites for campaingn help. I feel it should have been done way before the primaries. Bush was also able to fool a lot of African-American churches into saying that he was the man of moral values.

15. There was a story a while back
about Kerry calling together members of the black community, maybe the CBC, but I think there were others as well, such as Sharpton, also there. He had them over for dinner, and to hear criticism of his campaign. I presume it was to learn from his mistakes, as you said.

18. Kerry spent his entire career working for the advancement of minorities
and the working class. Too bad only blatant overtures gain applause.

Seems to me that many in the Democratic party were ill-informed about Kerry and his lifetime of work, or else they wouldn't be making such ignorant claims against him now.

Sorry, but it's easy to lose patience with supposed pundits acting like experts when they haven't a clue what the facts are themselves.

the poster above that said that Kerry owes it to the CBC after he totally overlooked them for campaign staff help. I think he is trying to mend some fences with them.

Blatant overtures. What does that mean? :hi:

23. I Concur
At the beginning of the 2004 campaign, I thought that the problem was that Cahill was too white to realize the problem. When it persisted, though, Kerry should have taken matters into his own hands. He can undo a lot of the damage in the wake of Katrina and Rita.

show his honesty and concern for others. This side of him was not convered by the media.
