2. Why would Al Gore
have his email address available to the public?

3. He doesn't currently have a public email address
But there's a small chance you could get a message to him through current.tv . Probably not, but I can't think of any other way.

BTW, let's ask the guys most often credited with 'inventing' the internet about Al Gore:

Al Gore and the Internet
By Robert Kahn and Vinton Cerf

Al Gore was the first political leader to recognize the importance of the Internet and to promote and support its development.

No one person or even small group of persons exclusively "invented" the Internet. It is the result of many years of ongoing collaboration among people in government and the university community. But as the two people who designed the basic architecture and the core protocols that make the Internet work, we would like to acknowledge VP Gore's contributions as a Congressman, Senator and as Vice President. No other elected official, to our knowledge, has made a greater contribution over a longer period of time.

Last year the Vice President made a straightforward statement on his role. He said: "During my service in the United States Congress I took the initiative in creating the Internet." We don't think, as some people have argued, that Gore intended to claim he "invented" the Internet. Moreover, there is no question in our minds that while serving as Senator, Gore's initiatives had a significant and beneficial effect on the still-evolving Internet. The fact of the matter is that Gore was talking about and promoting the Internet long before most people were listening. We feel it is timely to offer our perspective.

You may have already known all that, but I bring it up anyway for those who didn't.

4. I'm guessing the real problem might be that you don't have a Webby:

<June 2005>
The Webby Lifetime Achievement Award: Former Vice President Al Gore

Setting the record straight on one of recent history's most persistent political myths, The Webby Awards will present Former Vice President Al Gore with The Webby Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of the pivotal role he has played in the development of the internet over the past three decades. Vint Cerf, widely credited as one of the "fathers of the internet," will present Vice President Gore with the award.

7. Re:If Gore invented the internets why can't I find his email address?
1.It's not internets but Internet.

2.Gore never said or suggested that he invented it.

3.Noone can be credited for "inventing the Internet". It's not the lightbulb or the radio. The Internet is a combination of many inventions instead of being a single invention.
Over many decades it was developed into what it is today but it was not that someone came up with the idea then worked systematically to make it a reality.
Those who developed the TCP/IP and first used the word Internet in 1972 couldn't imagine that three decades later you, the average Joe, will be able to read messages like this one on your own personal computer.

4.Keeping his current e-mail address secret has nothing to do with his work for democratizing the Internet back in the 80s.

12. "Internets" is a parody of what * said during the debates.
Jeez, can we stop attacking harmless comments?

Sarcasm must be over some of your heads! If * says "internets" why, oh why, can't I?

I know he didn't invent it, but he sure was accused of claiming he did! I'm not looking for his damn private email address, just something public, like a foundation or something. GMAB!
