Will Democrat Leaders Prove Yet Again They Are Unwilling To Play Hardball? |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-22-05 10:44 PM by Vinnie From Indy
Regardless of the outcome of Rita's landfall, Democrats have an excellent opportunity to ad another rock to the drowning BushCo. regime's backpack.
If by some miracle Smirky's crew can avoid people being killed by the boatload when Rita hits and if they are able to deliver life saving water and food to the white folk in Texas, they are RACISTS for letting so many in N.O. die.
If they produce another cluster f*ck like N.O., they are clearly inept and too incompetent to hold office.
Either way, Democrats have an opportunity to take the offensive on the message. Sadly, I don't expect either. I keep waiting for our leaders to quit taking punches and start throwing a few.

5. We may be in much deeper trouble |

I find the timing of the National Enquirer story very troubling. If Chimpster's lack of performance on Katrina was the result of an alcoholic binge the people may have to start asking some serious questions to determine whether the person in the White House needs to be removed from office in some manner more quickly than impeachment. I'm not sure what procedures are in place in the Constitution, but these things need to be researched at this time.
The real worry is not what Chimp will do, but what will Chimp be unable to do if some serious international incident were to materialize. The USA cannot afford to have a possibly incapacitated chief executive right now.
Chimp may have to go now, not later.

removed??
Have you been paying attention for the last five years?? Drunk or sober, has he EVER given ANYBODY the impression that he was not incapacitated as Executive Chief??

Now read this very carefully because I have selected my words with great care.
I think that this new story leads one to questions as to whether the President may be *incapacitated*, that his screwing up on Katrina was a result of this incapacity. This goes beyond him being an ideologue. This goes beyond him being an extremist. This speaks for his base abilities to function in the office. With this new information we now have reason to believe, beyond idle conjecture, that there may be legal recourse to remove him from office *quickly*.
This situation is *new*. We've all wanted to kick Chimpster's butt out of office for every single one of the days of the past five years. But now we are looking at a situation where that might be possible. If Bush was on an alcoholic binge while New Orleans flooded, we need him out of office quickly no matter what has happened before.
Okay. Now do you understand the thrust of my message?

How is this, Bush is either a drunken racist or an incompetent, booze addled fool. They both work for me.

If he's drinking again, knowing his history. He cannot possibly be competent in his office. If another news source prints this, we have to act. We can start by asking questions of our Congress Critters.
A good question to ask, "Do you want the nuclear football to be under the control of a unrepentent alcoholic?"
Another, "If Al Qaeda attacks again, what good is a drunken President?"
Yet another, "How many Katrinas do we need before we decide that an alcoholic doesn't make a good President?"
Most important, "Is there a connection between the Katrina debacle and the Chimpster drinking?" Above all, we need to probe this.
No wonder the Repugs don't want a bypartisan inquiry into this. The truth may be too horrible to imagine. If Chimp was drowning in Beam while NOLA was drowning for real, that's damnable. Yet that is precisely what this looks like.

I want them to respond to the hurricane(s) with a constructive attack on the right-wing philosophy, and with a progressive vision for rebuilding.
I do want them to demand accountability, but not in a "scoring points" way.
