Was AccuWeather responsible for the "sense of relief" Bush said? |
|
So, it's been reported here tonight that FEMA uses National Weather Service/ National Hurricane Center reports exclusively, but the Dept. of Homeland Security uses only AccuWeather for reports on the weather. I wonder how Santorum arranged that. I also wonder, even if FEMA uses the NWS stuff for official purposes, did Michael Brown use it?
So the question I have is, if AccuWeather is The Thing with the White House and DHS and so on, was the sigh of relief, the sense that the worst had been averted, that Bush mentioned took place, a direct result of this reliance on AccuWeather and this heavy political push to sideline the National Weather Service? Did they just not listen to the hurricane center's apocalyptic warnings because that's not what AccuWeather said?
Seriously.

You mean Homeland Security relies on the weatherman at WKBW Channel 7 Buffalo? That is some freaky shit. The station should be using that in their advertising.
