Poll question: Approx. what % of the Democrats in the House and Senate..
Edited on Thu Sep-22-05 10:04 PM by mvd
do you truly admire? Not just like. I'd say around 10%. It would be less if I didn't make exceptions for Democrats like Dean, who doesn't match me on every issue but is willing to fight.

1. This is a defeatist poll
Why not ask what percentage of Repubs you think have a brain?

2. Not defeatist - just curious

I like more Democrats than many posters here. But I don't truly admire very many anymore. The ones who are always or nearly always willing to stand up to *. That's what I'm saying.

3. lets see, there are approx. 250 dems between the two houses and I
can name about twenty percent whom I truly admire. Only a few in the Senate: Boxer, Harkin, Kennedy and oddly enough Jeffords because he had the cojones to roll from repuke to independent under chimpys nose.

The house is where there are many more I truly admire: Conyers, Lee, Frank, Waxman, Kucinich, Slaughter, McKinney, and about fifteen more including most of the congressional black caucus and the progressive caucus.

Good question to post MVD

As I said, this isn't meant to be a bash all the Democrats thread. Or else I would have asked about the % of DINOS.

These Senators I truly admire:

Boxer
Corzine
Feingold
Harkin
Kennedy
Kerry
Lautenberg

Actually 16%, but I rounded down because of the numbers in the House

5. As I write this there are 17 votes cast with 66% responding that there are
50% or less that they truly admire. Very intersting yet not very surprising to me at least.

To those that claim this is defeatist I would respond that it is reality. Perhaps the dems need to understand our discontent and show some true representation.

We all know that had you asked this question re repukes the response would overwhelmingly be less than 5%.

As I said, good post!
