General Clark will be on Fox with O'Lielly at 8:35 tonight
Edited on Fri Sep-23-05 10:29 AM by Sparkly
Just a heads-up for those who might enjoy this. Always fun to see "Billy" try to lecture the General ("Here's what I know as a political analyst..."). And General Clark doesn't take his bait.

(8:35 eastern, 7:35 central...)

6. You'll enjoy it. Clark handles O'Reilly pretty well. Downright funny even
when Clark gets that look on his face that sez "I can't believe this nutcase gets airtime."

3. Uh oh, Billy, better break out the depends. This could be a tad worse
than the ass-whupping Donahue gave you the other day.

If Phil Donahue can smackdown O'Lielly, I cannot imagine what the General will do.

7. Is that the right time?
Billy (I think Donahue's name for him should be permanent) usually doesn't start until 8pm ET. Just wondering.

Whatever, it'll be fun to watch. Billy is clearly developing a masochistic bent.

9. why do Dem's go on Faux
if they totally ignored them, maybe the fans would get bored watching it and go back to comic books.

13. Because someone as brilliant as Clark learns about the enemy
and then uses it against them. He'll be polite right up to the point ole Billy starts interrupting him all the time.

10. After the thrashing "O" took from Phil D. the other night...should be fun
Clark should call him "Billy" like Phil did. It diminished him so.

16. O'Rielly
Of course this is just going to turn into a waste of time for everyone. I'm sick of seeing people go on his show and both sides just try and see who is louder. Can we please get some honest discussion going not just a shouting match!

18. General Clark doesn't shout.
It cracks me up how O'Lielly can't hold a conversation, but has to give little speeches and then say, "Your response" or "Go!"

Bet he'd be really fun on a date. "I enjoy long walks on the beach and candlelight dinners. Go!"

Phonesex: "Then I'd pick up the falafel and ask how you were feeling. Respond!"

Cocktail party banter: "So people were shooting at me, and all I had was a pen. I've seen combat. Don't you dare denigrate my service or I'll kick you outta here! Your response."

19. Clark doesn't shout at O'Liely....
... he doesn't have to.

As Bully Boy said the last time Clark was on his show....

"General Clark is taking over the show...."

Of course, this was prior to Bully Boy proceeding to tell Clark how to 'move troops" to protect the Iraq borders.

That was worth a  all by itself....

20. Oh definitely.
Clark: "I'm telling you what I know as a military guy here."
Billy: "Well, here's what I know as a political analyst."

Billy also tries to find or manufacture points of agreement with the General, I've noticed. He thinks it makes him look smarter.

23. ha....
It is the beauty of Wes Clark that he will go on this show and make his points without raising his voice....

BTW, this is the first time that Fox has him on in prime time since the time he took Hannity apart so deftly...THAT was a work of art, not a mean word spoken, not a voice raised, just a nice and easy luring Hannity into the trap, then springing the door closed, total humiliation of Hannity, and finally that sweet laugh of the General's...nothing mean in it, just a laugh that says he's having the time of his life....Ahhhhh, the man's a master.

24. Do you mean the one where Hannity was talking about making threats
(I think it was about North Korea)? And pushing Clark to lay his cards on the table and say what he'd do, as if that'd be real smart? And then Hannity said Chimpy had made a direct threat like that, and Clark laughed and explained how Chimpy had had to retract it?!?

That was priceless!!

26. Yes, yes, that's it....
Clark says this is what Bush did, Hannity loudly and obnoxiously proclaims (even as Clark is trying to continue) that he agrees, he agrees, that's the right thing to do...and then Clark throws in the zinger....."but he retracted that, he retracted that" and Hannity harrumphs, utters a pissy "well" and Clark laughs....It's great. My mom has it on tape and I can't resist showing it to everyone I can. Even my little nieces and nephews who have no idea who Hannity is or what the issues they are talking about mean love it. They can see that Hannity's obnoxious and that he was masterfully taken down eight or nine pegs and they love it as much as I do. It's still one of my favorite TV moments of all time...

21. The best think Wes does to O'Reilly is laugh at him... wryly.
He quietly makes his point and talks right back over O'Reilly, too. I honeatly think, though, it any RW tv host stuck his finger in Wes's face, they'd draw back a nub.

I'm surprised O'Lielly agreed to let him come back. The last time he was on, Clark dictated what HE would talk about - live on TV in front of the sheeple.
