Bush is actually very successful. |

He has managed to help his buddies in PNAC and the military industrial complex by creating a never-ending War on Terruh.
He completely fooled Congress to circumvent the Constitution, not once, but twice: they gave him the Patriot Act after 9/11 and they gave him the authority to declare war after he threatened them with anthrax.
He has managed successfully a take-over of government at all levels: military, intelligence, various scientific boards, federal circuit court nominations, etc.
He has managed to fool the majority of the country into thinking he's a compassionate conservative cowboy.
He has managed a neo-conservative takeover of the Supreme Court instead of an old-generation conservative takeover.
And finally, he and his buddies are all laughing their way to the bank, while thinking about all the dead, poor people who gave up their lives for BushCo's increased wealth.

1. That pretty much sums it up! |
|
My Canadian relatives don't understand how he can keep getting away with it. I blame it on the media. He who owns the media, rules!

2. He's done what he wanted to do. |
|
By history, he'll be seen for what he is.
But he's done what he's set out to do. Being a great leader working for the good of mankind wasn't ever his goal. It was to further a far-right agenda by any means necessary. And he's done it.

5. You're right. The ONLY goal of these thugs is a massive shift of wealth |
|
from the poor/middle class to the top 2 percent. Everything else is a means to an end, including catering to the nutcase fundies.

6. Unfortunately, there's a lot of truth in that |
|
They are accomplishing the real goals of stripping down government, putting the elite in charge, removing controls on corporations, neutering the Democrats and eroding the ability of the population to exercise its will.
And when it's all over he'll probably get to do what he really is passionate about and become commissioner of baseball.

"...stripping down government..."
They are stripping down things that matter, like FEMA, social programs (education, medicaid/medicare, social security), and science funding. But other things they have made bigger, like the military, defense (contractor) spending, and Homeland Security. Soon, this will be the main thing our citizens know how to do and our economy will rely on it.

7. Bush is exremely successful, there is no doubt...... |

for a not too smart drug addict and boozer who never worked a day in his life. He and his pals are the best con artists I have ever seen. The best criminals don't break the laws, they make them.

11. Yes, we have "misunderestimated" him (cringe). |
|
His IQ tests results are higher than Kerry's. The down-home cowboy thing has all been a ruse, and a successful one, because as we aim barbs at him for his "stupidity", the other part of the country who really IS down-homey, only identifies with him further.
Why didn't we see it?

12. We all are Victims of his "success" |
|
But Republicans will be the biggest victims of their own success. Its all down hill from here because its starting to come apart at the seams. They'll have the biggest, most pathetic lame duck in the White House and in Congress they'll be falling all over themselves ducking the fall out.
The people are finally awakening so look out for a seismic shift.
