Funny how RNC/GOP are talking about how unimportant Bush's Brilliant |

team is. All of a sudden they are incompetent or "not as smart as we thought". Bush success is all about his policy plans. Has nothing to do with the political games.
All of a sudden.
Wonder why?

The house in which a group of us lived during undergraduate days was known as "Rodent Palace." They were the best times .............
You're so right. I apologize to the entire Rodentia order.

they know the man is a lame duck and will not have any coattail to hold onto for either '06 or '08. They can't ride Bush's* "popularity" into office anymore.....as a matter of fact, they MAY (and I emphasize "MAY") be thinking like Chuck Hagel that the wave to ride into office is BEING THE ANTI-BUSH
Don't let Repubs steal that theme...Hagel seems to be pre-empting the DEms on that theme...

6. Which leaders would those people be? |
|
The only leaders I know of on our side are John Conyers and the rest of the CBC, Cindy Sheehan, and various progressive groups. Our elected "leaders" are missing in action, or perhaps that should be missing at the action!

8. You forget that for every time the Dems have won the house, senate |
|
or the WH - they have been part of a "big tent". When you insist that everyone be thinking exactly as you - and vote that way - you get a Nader running with vengeance - and you end up with a Bush stealing an election.
When have Dems ever won without representing all parts of their party?
If you think things have to match you exactly - you are not doing the true work of voting in a democracy. You don't get exactly what you want.. you get, hopefully, lots of what you need.
How are we any different that rich people who don't want to pay taxes if we refuse to accept that other parts of our grand community have a say too?
We either go with a big tent. Or we loose.
Tell me - was Bill Clinton all that bad?
IMHO

5. Can anyone name even one thing Bush has done right? |
|
Something that over the long run will be for the good of the American people? Afghanistan? That is good as long as we are willing to keep troops there to be shot at in order to prop up our token government. When we leave, someone as bad as the Taliban will take over. Tax cuts? How stupid is anyone who thinks passing higher taxes and less benefits on to our old age and to future generations is a good idea? Iraq? Don't get me started. Any Domestic programs? Their only ideas are to cut, underfund and mismanage. Any international efforts? He went to the UN and told them how we are all better off if we work together. That was nice of him. This is after telling them they were becoming irrelevant as he invaded Iraq with a few bribed and coerced sidekicks.
Keep reminding your friends and enemies that everything Bush has screwed up, he has had the complete support of the Republicans to do. They are all as responsible for what has happened. Every DAMN one of them. Not a single Republican has stood up and fought against the travesty George W. Bush has been to America and the World. Now, some of the Republicans want to weasel out of their complicity in the crimes of the Bush regime. Too little, and wayyyyyyyy too late.

7. I've said it before: In '06, the Repubs will try to win by bashing Bush. |
|
Just wait. Their strategy will be to bash Bush and demonize immigrants. Since I now have a job, I will gladly be taking bets.

9. Only to demonize immigrants long enough to pass "flat tax" and "guest |

worker laws". Trust me. In 2014 it will be an employees market because of all the boomers retiring. They will not have that - cause it means inflation that the rich then have to fight - with hick-ups in the market (every fights inflation when we fight it that way).
The elites plan on perpetual markets & at the very least - workers fighting inflation with lowered salaries that match lowered cost of goods. Something has to fight inflation - and it sure will not be oil. I say again "exactly what are Bush's elites sacrificing for this war and these times?"
Immigrants will be demonized enough to ensure the maid pays taxes at the same rate as the elite. And so that as soon as they don't have a job - they can legally be returned to some country of origin.
An employees market - with 5 year hickups to slow down inflation - would benefit all workers ... tremendously.
