If Musharraf is seen by his people as being instrumental in turning bin Laden over to the US, he is politically doomed.

bin Laden has a lot of support in Pakistan, heck, the Taliban was largely a Pakistani creation. Pakistan is as much our ally in the "war against terrorism" as Saudi Arabia is.

he's the "Goldstein"(sp?) of the Bush cabal. They trot out ole Bin Laden when they need him for the three minute hate and scare fest. This keeps the sheep in line.

11. The fact that OBL survived the presidential election....

leads me to believe that OBL will never be captured. Bush is purposely letting him roam free. Why is he doing this? It's anybody's guess...
