2. That won't get him any respect |
|
He doesn't deserve any respect. Resigning just stops him from screwing up even more things.
By the way resigning isn't as a good as it sounds. Then we would get Cheney and I don't think he is any better.

I tend to respect people who know their limitations. I'd appreciate it if * just admitted what we all know--that's he's not up to the job and that his entire corrupt administration is incompetent.

...I would approve if he were to just go the fuck away. Wander off to the elephant graveyard, sit on an ice flow and be pushed out to sea, wander blind and naked into the desert...whatever, just go away.

7. lower the price of gasoline to 50 cents a gallon. |
|
he and his oil buds are clearly manipulating gas prices and availability. Oh the conflict between greed and the poll numbers. The price of gas was the one single thing that even got the freeptards grousing against him. That is why gas isn't going up right now even though they could explain it away due to storms.

8. He can stage a fake assassination attempt, like the one Reagan staged |
|
Some conspiracy theorists believe Reagan planned the "assassination" attempt himself to boost flagging poll numbers.
Supposedly, Hinkley's family was paid-off in return, and a rubber bullet was used.
It was only by a fluke that the rubber bullet managed to perforate the lung. Part of the problem being that the shooter fired from closer range than the plan called for.
I heard this on the internets somewhere.
And as far as I know, Jodie Foster was completely un-aware of the plans.

10. I don't believe that was a rubber bullet that hit James Brady in the head. |
|
How would your conspiracy theory explain that one? Secret Service guy with really bad aim? And wasn't there a police officer also wounded on the scene?
More likely theory is that Poppy Bush was sending a "message" to Reagan as to who was really in charge.
As for Jodie Foster, since even then rumors were going about which team she plays for, it seemed an odd motivation to shoot a President.
Well John, I think it's great that you killed the President for me and all, but I'm just not interested. You got a sister?

15. Maybe ONE bullet in the gun was rubber, and the rest were real? |

And if Reagan were shot, who would benefit?
And why would a crush on Jodi Foster motivate someone to shoot a president? That's probably a fabricated excuse.
And the fact that Hinkley's family was friends the the BFFEE, some people say, only adds credence to the possibility that Bush Senior or even Bush Junior called in the hit.
People are saying that a piece of evidence was that both Bush Senior and Bush Junior have been closely tied to The Unification Church (The Moonies) who were repeatedly snubbed by Reagan.
Could Bush Senior and/or Junior used Hinkley and The Moonies to plan an assassination of Ronald Reagan?
Was the whole thing a staged event planned by Reagan himself? Was James Brady actually an intended target of this plan? And rubber bullets can be fatal if they hit someone in the head. They're supposed to be aimed at the torso.
It's been said that this is a possibility.
Let's discuss it in the media for eight weeks, and let the public decide.
