Democrats 'boycotting' Katrina review??? |
|
I got this email from a freeper I know:
>>Is it not great that the Democrats said they are boycotting the review of Katrina response so they really have no say now? What the hell are they thinking? I got this off a VERY liberal guy on AM 1400.<
She threw in the thing about the guy on AM talk radio being liberal because I am always nailing her for quoting people like Hannity, Limbaugh and O'Rielly. I am not familiar with what she is talking about. I thought that there was no bipartisan review of Katrina?

All we get on this board is a lousy comic comparing a snoozing Garfield to the Democratic Party. Oh so clever..

4. Dems want testimony under oath..also don't want to usurp any legal charges |
|
ala Ollie North. Kangaroo court followed by a double jeopardy ruling means GOP says "screw you" here is our investigation and we are all innocent.

I like Edwards a lot and think he is a great spokesman for our party and that he has a lot more attractive qualities than his hair and his smile. Don't get me wrong, the hair and the smile are nice, but it is the way I feel like he really does CARE that I find attractive. I also like the way he approaches problems. He looks for 'root' solutions. Attack the roots of poverty to solve the social ills that stem from that problem. If medical expenses are too high, don't just try to find a way to insure everybody, look at private health insurance companies and what doctors are billing them. The theory being that doctors and insurance companies are in bed together and the PEOPLE are the ones getting screwed. I like that kind of thinking.

13. It would be a welcome change.. |
|
.... to prevent the Repugs from whitewashing yet another massive governmental failure.
The "investigation" the Repugs want to do will be nothing but a total sham, any Dem who lends creedence to it should be ashamed.

15. They are boycotting because the repub idea of "bi-partisan review" |
|
is that the Repubs will review what when wrong and the Dems will review what went right.
Just trust them.
