I'm mesmerized by his testimony on teevee. He's was right and the rest of the world was wrong. It was my eyes that lied. I feel so awful for anything I may have said against this saintly man. It was those damned 'locals' all along. Excatly as they were saying from the start.

How COULD I have been so wrong?

::::smack::::

Okay, I've come out of the teevee-induced trance.

He's still a lowlife, lying, shitbag.

Now made worse by getting a Republican committee to toss Republican softballs at his lying Republican face.

2. I was unaware that FEMA's job was to take lists of what the Mayor
tells them they need and hand it to the state and tell them to do it. Silly me - I thought maybe they were supposed to do more then that.

4. Did anyone here expect
anything different from a GOP controlled Congress?? Of course it was the nasty Dem governor and mayor. I mean why would John Q Public expect something different from the party that gave us "I am not a crook" Nixon, and the Ollie North "I am not nor have I ever lied to Congress" or the daddy "I was never in the loop" Bush during Iran/Contra. The real GOP is the GOP who has never been accountable or responsible for the lies, theft and murder that has been their standard since Watergate.

10. Brown said earlier....
...that it was the local and state government's resonsibility to order an evacuation - that the Feds had no authority to do so.
Maybe I'm not up on my info here - but I distinctly remember the Mayor of NO standing there, calling for evacuation the Friday before Katrina hit. Did I dream this? I remember the Governor of Louisiana standing there, calling for evacuation Friday and Saturday before Katrina hit. Was I hallucinating?
Either way, didn't Shrub declare the Federal Emergency on Saturday, August 27th - 2 days before Katrina hit? Maybe I'm not informed about the procedure, but are they trying to say that the Feds have the authority to declare the Federal Emergency, but don't have the authority to act on or order any measures beyond that?
In other words - Shrub had the authority to declare the Federal Emergency - but Shrub (and DHS and FEMA) didn't have the authority to order an evacuation of NO?

I'm confused.........

12. Its all a bunch of mumbo jumbo with the expressed purpose of
confusing whomever watches.

That and somehow RITA becoming more of a topic of conversation than KATRINA in order to say...see, how well we've done, is all meant to have us play the shell game! Of course some of us know better, but unfortunately, the masses don't.

Notice that RITA's damage did the most harm where KATRINA had already struck....meaning that RITA only added to our woes, but KATRINA was the catalyst of the real disaster.

Again...it's all a shell game!

But, I know where the nut is and under which shell. That's the part they ain't counting on!
