2. Well, no actually.
If he resigns, it goes away. If he insists on staying in office, it prolongs (and amplifies) the tarnish on the Republican party leadership.

His resignation would be the best thing that could happen (at this point) to the Reps. His making a public spectacle of himself bu not resigning is the best thing for us.

8. He should have his day in court, first. . .
like every citizen, he's entitled to the protection of the law, even if he has done his best to deny those rights to others. Once he's convicted, though (and the Republican cause has been drawn through the mud with him), he should resign then.

12. I disagree. He should resign, he is bad for our country.
He is a dishonorable, smarmy bully who has no concept of what ethical is. If he is convicted and goes to jail, so much the better.
