Who do the Republicans have left? Seriously, I'm trying to think |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-28-05 07:03 PM by Singular73
Bush -- historically low approval ratings
Cheney -- Noone liked this guy to begin with
Rove -- Traitor.
Frist -- SEC anyone?
DeLay -- Fucked on multiple fronts. Abramhoff anyone? Money Laundering?? lol.
Hastert -- Who?
McCain -- Too busy with baseball.
Seriously, who speaks for them now??
Ive never seen this kinda self-destruction since reading "Go Ask Alice", c 1975
The thing is, yes, liberals don't like any of these guys, etc.., blah blah blah...but what I'm talking about is Rethugs...

1. When they have nobody left, they'll nuke the nation. |
|
We should actually all be very cautious right now, and make sure that the Far Right doesn't do anything rash.

I'm itching to find out how the ordinary Republican rationalizes their way out of this one. What lies will they recognize as lies, and which ones will stick?

5. Traitor labels for the first two also. Lying to start a war sure should |
|
win that label. In fact, trying to stop the 9-11 commission and then trying to derail it should have gotten them that label.

8. And how about the Democrats? |
|
They couldn't even make a stink about a stolen election. Leadership in this country is at an all time low.

10. what are you talking about? |
|
Senator Boxer and Rep. Tubbs Jones forced the first separation of the joint session of congress since 1877 in the disputed Tilden-Hayes election. That's quite a "stink."

9. All they need, voting machines w/o a paper trail and secret software. |

A populace with a nanosecond attention span, and a press they still control pretty darn well - IMO.

11. You are exactly right. It doesn't matter how the public perceives |

these guys. As long as they control the voting machines they will control everything.

16. Maybe if Guiliani says he's born again |
|
The GOP base will require a hard rightist, and there's too much a potential opponent of Guiliani in the primaries will bring up to smear him. GOP - lie down with dogs that is the GOP base... (with all due respect to dogs)

14. It is a sight to behold |
|
It seems we're witnessing the complete and utter self destruction of the GOP. It's an historic moment. Who could have ever predicted the grand scale of it?
But my fear has always been that Bush will wag another war when political circumstances are as dire as they are for him now.
But now I'm starting to believe Bush, Cheney, Frist, Delay, Rice, Rove, Hughes, McClellan et al will slither away with a pathetic whimper. They'll leave behind an America that is a shell of its former self, but hopefully the good guys will be in power and will start repairing the GOP's neglect of our country.

A JC Watts, a Steve Largent a Marc Raicot (how do you get "Roscoe" out of that name anyway?)
They'll find some lackey.

Its all they need.
They can convince half the people that an idiotic, drunken, incompetent nincompoop should be president.
They've already done it twice
No, seriously. they don't need anyone other than an empty headed sock puppet and with six hundred gazillion dollars of campaign ads, people will think that someone like Emporer Boosh should be president.
This is the entire problem. ALL of it. The whole thing. The only thing that matters. And we are fucked because the mafia owns the media....the mafia....that's what the republican party has morphed into
