What is the deadline for getting a name on the Nov. 2006 ballot? |

Does it vary with every state? I am thinking that with the changing fortunes definitely tilting in the Democrats favor we could attract more "talent" to run in races that are increasingly looking better for Democrats in.

I would guess it was a state office or federal office.
Mayor, county council, etc would probably be through the local county or city cleck.

you can look up the state statutes I think.
I ran for a federal office so the rules were different.
