Hmm, if DeLay is convicted, and this definitely IS a felony,
then he can't vote. I wonder if the Repukes would start clamoring for a change to that law . . . Once out of the slammer, can he hold office again, even though he would be a convicted felon?

1. In Texas the judge will reduce to misdemeanor and order Delay to
do community service - namely hold a fund raiser for the judge.

11. If he's a felon, he can't vote
until he gets the right to vote restored. When and how that happens varies, depending on what state you are in. So, if he can't vote, he certainly cannot remain in Congress. If anyone has time, I'm sure it would be interesting to look at what happened with the Congressional felons who preceded him.

9. One way or another a pardon is guaranteed. The Chimperor is not up...
for re-election. Before he leaves office Delay get's pardoned. When the public outrage subsides, Delay will be pardoned if convicted or if a conviction is eminent.

10. Never misunderestimate the stupidity........
of our chimp in chief. One could go broke betting against the stupid things he's done. He's certainly capable of this in my opinion.

13. I'd like to see him in one of those
exterminator advertisement bug outfits, driving a little truck with a big ole cockroach on top, as he could always go back to his earlier line of work.

12. In Texas
After a felon has served his time and done his probation, he regains the right to vote. However, we rarely elect them to office.

16. Yes, there's just a 2 year "delay" ...
After the sentence, probation and/or parole is complete. We're more advanced than Florida!

I don't see how he could be re-elected. But I never understood how anyone could vote for him in the first place.

17. The same could be asked about Randall Terry
He's planning to run against a state senator who wouldn't vote his way during the Schiavo mess. I don't know if Randall has ever been arrested in Florida, but when he was Operation Rescue's top dog, he made it a point to get arrested everywhere they protested so it is conceivable that he was arrested in Florida.

Sociopathic con artist. He can take up booze and cocaine too and he will be perfect. They just have to change the law so felons can run for office, otherwise repugs will never get into office anymore.
