I was listening to CRI on my shortwave radio
and did a search for CRI, found out this is a China radio station, and on the news portion of their site I clicked on, "Generals call for Gradual Iraq Withdrawal." I looked on the UPI news site, where this story came from, but didn't see it anywhere. Why isn't America reporting on this very important story? http://pub8.bravenet.com/news/638336397/13243/1

2. google Lt General Odom (?sp?) he just came out a couple days
ago saying Iraq was the "greatest strategic blunder" EVER! Maybe that's who they were referring to?

3. It seems to be a legitimate article
They're not calling for an immediate withdrawal rather a gradual one.

4. Echoing Wesley Clark

I need to google and see if the two are friends.

I mean, that was Clark's EXACT wording a few months ago: great strategic blunder.

Odd.

On edit: Yep. Both were members of the prestigious Lincoln Brigade at West Point.

It also closes a gap and proves a point Clark made on Meet The Press a few weeks back when he blasted retired General Downing. Clark told Downing he had been in contact with members of the NSA - of which General Odom belongs - and that they were NOT taking diplomatic steps as Downing suggested.
