Faux News now saying Halloween costume spending to increase from '04
Edited on Sat Oct-01-05 06:19 PM by Bullshot
This morning, Faux radio news reported that spending for Halloween is expected to be up 5% from last year.

This is reminiscent of an earlier report from Faux saying that Christmas spending will be up from last year.

Again, I'll say it: with gasoline over $3/gallon and home heating costs projected to be at record highs, where in the hell are people finding the money to increase spending on non-essential holiday spending?

Faux is, in my opinion, once again serving as a propaganda tool for the White House.

2. Surely the costume prices have gone up.
Many things have increased in price due to high fuel costs.

10. Oh, mine always did too
I don't remember ever having a store-bought one. Of course, I was a witch for about 10 straight years and that's a pretty easy homemade costume. :D

5. Get your Mike Brown costumes...
or just walk around with your head up your ass for the cheap version.

Or if you miss the party ... just say you were a truck driver for FEMA and they kept you driving around in a circle.

12. Yeah, lots of Hallowe'en activity here
Of course, we won't need ghosts or even costumes, what with all the actual dead bodies that will probably still be rotting in attics a month from now. Gives trick-or-treating a whole new dimension. Also, lots of opportunities to hide behind the piles of debris that still line most residential streets and jump out in my Nixon mask to scare the crap out of the little candy mongers! Yeah.
